Our blend contains a 3-year old 100% Pot Still rum from the Worthy Park Distillery in Jamaica combined with a 5-year old 100% Column Still rum from the Foursquare Distillery in Barbados both aged in oak barrels.

Once on the palate, the fruits give way to reveal a complex, warming spice hit, which lingers nicely into a long, creamy finish. Unfortunately nowhere near a sipping run for me (admittedly not sure it's meant to be a sipping rum but was very expensive if it was). The body is fruity, spicy, on the sweet side (as far as rum can be without added sugar), with a bit of sour twist, the aftertaste is long and spicy and has some alcohol burn in it, but the mix is still sippable, especially after the first third of the bottle. The story of Duppies inspired us to find the best rums in the Caribbean and blend them to create something unique, inclusive, approachable and above all else - totally delicious.Combined with the more subtle, but also fruity and lightly oaky barbadian profile, it all starts to get very interesting. It’s fairly simple and a little dilute, but it’s not a nice milk chocolate and banana character and is very smooth. On the palate, there’s a hint of caramel sweetness alongside the fruits, giving way to more spice and a lively pot-still rum finish. The cheapest of them, and closest in taste, is Mates and that surpasses the Duppy Share by 4 steps; more flavour, more complexity, more fun and costing less money.
