Description

It almost looks like there is some PWM in the lowest mode, but if there is, it’s negligible, or not even present. It The tailcap switch is a bit special and has 2 menu configurations, besides a unique 2-stage switch. The default configuration is half-press (first stage) for Medium and Full press (second stage) for Turbo. In mode configuration 2, you have half-press for Turbo and full-press for Strobe. Modes: The tail switch has 2 menu configurations, besides being a unique 2-stage switch. The default configuration is half-press (first stage) for Medium and Full press (second stage) for Turbo. In mode configuration 2, you have half-press for Turbo and full-press for Strobe. Olight includes an MCC3magnetic charging cable, and it doesn’t accept any older MCC’s. They use a proprietary charging system to guarantee the best possible performance and safety. Charging with the cable takes about 3 hours, but the green light will indicate the end of charge, but it’s not 100% charged yet. When the light turns green, the battery is about 95% charged.

Just like the Baton 3 Pro, the cell on this Baton fits in the “normal” way – positive (button) toward the head. Despite that, regular button top 18650 cells will not work in this light. The included Olight 18650 3500 mAh tailored lithium-ion battery is specially designed and only this battery can be charged within the torch. The battery is recharged inside the torch using the included MCC3 magnetic charging cable. The above results are based on ANSI/NEMA FL1-2009 standard and are tested using the included battery.Level 1 will run at 2300 lumens for 2.5 minutes before dropping down to 800 lumens with an additional run time of 160 minutes – this is to prevent the LED from overheating, it will then drop down to 250 lumens, with a further run time of 39 minutes The emitter of choice for this light is a Luminus SFT-40. The temperature is Cool White, at 6000K-7000K. This emitter is under a TIR, but there is no glass over the TIR. That’s a fairly big and unfortunate loss here. Included for easy carry is a sturdy nylon holster with a stitched belt loop, a D ring and also a strap that uses a pop stud which could be threaded through a molle vest strap if desired. What makes this holster extra special is the strong magnetic closure, which keeps the torch securely in the pouch, but is also easy to gain access to when required. Featuring five brightness levels and strobe, the torch is turned on and off with a single press of the side mounted push button. Select the brightness level, with the torch turned on, by holding the switch to cycle through low, mid and high in turn, whilst the moonlight mode of 0.5 lumens can be accessed directly when the torch is off by pressing and holding down the switch, or a single press if it is the last used memorised mode.

The momentary feature activates when you hold the switch for longer than 1 second, either fully pressed for Turbo or halfway pressed for Medium. Releasing the button after 1 second will turn the light off. It’s important to note that these options apply to the regular mode, as there is also a Tactical mode which will be discussed in the User Interface section. Dimensions and Weight: The flashlight is about 6 ounces in weight and 5.5 inches long. The weight is well distributed, making it easy to switch between hands. High starts at around 2500 lumens. The first real drop happens after around 1minute and 40 seconds. After 2 short drops it’s down to 1125 lumens. The next drop happens at 18minutes when it drops to 900 lumens. Olight just released the Warrior Mini 3 flashlight and I have one here in the Forest Gradient color. It has a Luminus SFT-40 emitter, great output and throw! When the light is turned on the indicator switches either side of the button will illuminate. The indicators up the left hand side are to show the mode you are in with the first one for moonlight or low, the second one for mid, the third one for high and the fourth one for turbo. The indicators up the right hand side are battery level indicators and the bottom fist one shows 10-25% power, the second one is 25-50% power, the third one is 50-75% power and the fourth one is above 75% power.Level 2 will run at 800 lumens for 166 minutes before dropping down to 250 lumens with an additional run time of 39 minutes. The Warrior 3 is a high quality flashlight. It even comes with an optional remote switch. The remote switch will allow you to operate this flashlight remotely while mounted to your setup. All in all, the user interface of the Warrior 3 is simple and easy to use. It comes with a user manual that will teach you everything you need to know about operating this fine flashlight. I found the user interface simple and easy to understand. Utilising a TIR optic lens, the Warrior Mini 3 provides better light quality with a smooth and balanced beam profile and updated hotspot and tint from the Warrior Mini 2.
