Unless you want to use two and spend your time figuring out how to attach light-diffusing sheets to them, a different solution is needed. This produces a good natural white light that will reflect how the miniature will look in normal daylight. While the pros might have used this 5 years ago, I can tell you that they are likely all changing it out.

I have been using it for several days now, I have tried to paint different subjects and I must say that as a lamp to paint miniatures, this Neatfi XL is an excellent solution.For a truly color accurate lamp, which is way more important for photography, you’ll want a lamp with a CRI over 90-95. If you’re painting other things, like rocks, or needlework and other crafts, the light is diffuse and pleasant. It is flexible enough to be where you want it to be, so the light can come from above instead of from the side. I have an older version known as the Lightcraft LED Pro, but the Neatfi 2,200 was a small iteration of that desk lamp. I have one of those lamps with built in magnkfication, but the light itself is warm with is less than ideal.

If you want to upgrade your miniature painting, the first place I suggest people to start is by getting a good LED desk lamp. This means that you can spend ages getting the colour just right, but when you look at it in the morning (in sunlight) you will wonder why it now looks different.
