Description

Making a cameo appearance from the Ultramarines codex is Chaplain Cassius, here thanks to the Kill Team Overdrive box (or whatever it was called) and the self-titled Kill Team Cassius. He gets a Deathwatch bolt pistol instead of a regular one, a slightly fancier crozius, Fiery Conviction which gives him +1 to litany rolls without being a Master of Sanctity/Wise Orator, and really nothing else special except for a designer’s note which says you kind of shouldn’t use him with Primaris models for fluff reasons. That’s fine, because you’re not gonna use him at all. Codicier Natorian

Combat Patrol Boxes - The Meeples Herald Warhammer 40K Combat Patrol Boxes - The Meeples Herald

The 40K Combat Patrol Adeptus Custodes is a great way to get started with this army and get a lot of excellent miniatures at a bargain. The box includes 1 Shield Captain, 1 Vexilius Praetor, 3 Custodian Guard, 3 Vertus Praetors, 10 Sisters of Silence Prosecutors, and 2 Burning of Prospero transfer sheets. The set is quite versatile, and you can combine and build the miniatures in multiple ways to get maximum value. Narrow focus. The flip side to the alien-hunting speciality of the Deathwatch is that it limits their options – even in your best-case scenario facing off against a xenos army you have four of your stratagems that do nothing, and against other Imperium armies or Chaos a full six of your stratagems do precisely nothing, and half your Chapter Tactic is inoperative. That’s a whole lot of your stratagem sheet which is only conditionally active.

Combat Patrol game mode

If you seek to safeguard the Imperium from xenos threats, then Combat Patrol: Deathwatch is the way to do it! The contents of this set have been specifically chosen to provide you with an ideal Deathwatch force for Combat Patrol sized games – approximately 25 Power Level's worth of miniatures. Apparently John Lennon’s new bit is taking unloved Space Marine chapters and building the most nightmarish Drukhari-slaying concoctions possible out of them, and frankly all power to him for that.

Combat Patrol: Deathwatch

This is a fairly standard foundation to an Ork army. Deffkoptas have long been popular for providing a cheap, tough option for gunning down ranged units, and their huge speed is useful for distracting tougher vehicles that could mow down your squishy grunts. The Deathwatch are a ‘special forces’ chapter of space marines, specialising in killing aliens. Yeah yeah, we know, all the other space marines also spend most of their time doing that, but these guys are, like, really good at it. Combat Patrol: Space Wolves is another excellent way to start collecting the Space Wolves Chapter or add to an already existing army. As a unique chapter in the Space Marine hierarchy, the Space Wolves are expert close combat fighters who excel in skirmishes and can go toe-to-toe with many xenos factions, especially Orks. Hellblaster w/ Assault plasma incinerator: 5x Assault Plasma Incinerator, 5x Bolt pistol, 5x Frag & Krak grenades The additional embellishments are simple enough, with the left pauldron needing a couple of metallic paints to cover and then the ever-important Nuln Oil to finish and unify the paintjob. The right pauldron will require a a couple of paints from each Space Marine chapter, but, once again, this is an enjoyable task and will allow you to have fun decide which chapter each soldier once belonged to.Adamantine Mantle. Lets a model ignore wounds on a 5+. A solid boost in durability for a character, and best on characters who don’t benefit from taking artificer armour. B The set contains 14 miniatures of heavily armored Space Marines of the Grey Knights Chapter, including 1 Librarian in Terminator Armor, 1 Nemesis Dreadknight, 5 Grey Knights Brotherhood Terminators and 5 Grey Knights Strike Squad Marines. Special Issue Loadout – 2CP –Use in your Shooting phase when a DEATHWATCH INFANTRY unit is selected to shoot. Until the end of the phase, bolt weapons (except bolt sniper rifles for Eliminators) other than those that already have it gain Special-Issue Ammunition and change their Type to Heavy 1. Nice for getting to make a bit more use of the Special-Issue Ammunition rule, but quite expensive and limiting as it reduces your shot count and imposes a potential movement penalty as well. B Primaris Techmarine [5 PL, 100pts, -1CP]: Chapter Command: Master of the Forge, Stratagem: Hero of the Chapter, The Tome of Ectoclades As a small, elite force – even by the standards of the Space Marines – the Deathwatch are great if you want a small army to lavish attention onto, with many opportunities for cool conversions. Their specialised armoury is represented with some suitably tooled-up model kits.
