We will now go into more detail to help you understand what to look out for with these key criteria. Since the garden already came with another shed by its side my wife insisted that this one needs to come down to make way for the children’s trampoline. Also, will one be able to cut wrought iron, not particularly thick stuff just an old rusty gate I have lying around. Usually I would just grab the chainsaw in this situation but being petrol this was going to be way too loud!

My wife and I recently moved into our new home (along with our 5 children I might add) which came with a large shed at the bottom of the garden. Throw away the free blades you get and use good branded blades (such as Bosch blades from Screwfix). I bought the Titan saw from Screwfix for my father as he was determined to break my fancy Milwaukee Sawzall cutting firewood. This short stroke, very fast cutting Saw was made especially for cutting thin section glass fibre reinforced plastics up to 6mm (1/4") and light gauge metal up to 3mm (1/8") thick.and still comes with a 2 year guarantee (at least at the time of writing this review) as well as being trade rated. The item will be supplied with accessories/parts required for the item to function but may be missing non-essential accessories. The saw tends to let go of blades as soon as they begin to bind, which was almost continuously when I cut up a fallen tree recently.

Hi, can anyone recommend a good quality reciprocating saw that can cut a variety of materials wood, plastics etc?The variable speed feature was great as it was as easy as releasing pressure on the trigger to reduce the speed of the blade and all I had to do it replace the blades was twist the blade quick release feature 90 degrees to release and replace. Looking at the selection available, is it important to have one where the blade can cut at all 4 directions, like the De Walt? we tend to go for an inexpensive brand with a good reputation but opt for the better blades and chains. I presume that Scorpion type saw with its deeper blades are more accurate than reciprocating saw (who blades seem to wave about a lot more). The item has been professionally refurbished/repaired and may show minor cosmetic marks and/or scratches through previous use.
