The table below shows you how many of each type of chocolate you can expect in a standard 650g tub of Quality Street. Vanilla Fudge – Moving up the complexity scale, Quality Street’s vanilla fudge sweets come in an instantly recognisable pink wrapper and consist of a vanilla fudge core with a chocolate shell. Heroes, of course, have been around for nowhere near as long as Cadbury's other selection though they now feel like they have been available for a long, long time. To illustrate the differences between the two eras of selection boxes, Roses, like Quality Street, had their flavours specifically made and wrapped in coloured foil compared to Celebrations and Heroes later using brands that already existed.

Well, parent brand Nestle seem to be trying to deal with both problems but still have a way to go. For instance, they source around 23% of their cacao from fair trade producers and only 16% of its palm oil was certified as sustainably produced in 2014. Palm oil is a major driver of deforestation in countries like Indonesia, so this may be a concern for some customers. This boxed confectionery was originally branded as Miniature Heroes and were introduced in September 1999 as a response to rival Mars' Celebrations (more on them later). The box, of course, contains tiny versions of various Cadbury chocolate bars. The sweets within the box have changed and evolved over the years. As of September 2019, there are 15 flavours (including the Fruit Cremes box exclusive, John Lewis exclusive, and Matchmakers) of the individually wrapped sweets, all of which are either chocolate or toffee based, as follows: Intrigue Truffles sold separately as Praline, Salted Caramel and Orange (Salted Caramel and Praline are sold at both Asda and Morrison's stores, whereas Orange is sold at Asda only) Well, the short answer is there is very rarely an even spread of sweets in the traditional tubs of Quality Street, Roses, Celebrations and Heroes sold in huge quantities at Christmas.

Please note, calorie figures are not exact and are based on averages from the nutritional information available. Quality Street Chocolate Type The Green Triangle – Probably Quality Street’s most popular chocolate, these iconic treats include a triangular chocolate coating and a hazelnut praline core. Quality Street is part of the Nestlé Cocoa Plan, supporting farmers for better chocolate. Nestlé and the Rainforest Alliance work together to help improve the lives of cocoa farmers and the quality of their product. Find out more at ra.org.. A sharing bag of Quality Street® Strawberry Delights - with a deliciously smooth strawberry-flavoured centre coated in rich dark chocolate. Perfect for sharing at Christmas and other celebrations. Now in recyclable paper wrappers. No artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Quality Street is part of the Nestle Cocoa Plan, working with the Rainforest Alliance to help improve the lives of cocoa farmers and the quality of their product. Quality Street. Such was his enthusiasm that he suggested they remove the strawberry or orange flavours from the tins, longstanding favourites of which he is not a fan, and replace them with the white chocolate. The consumer group’s research answers key questions, such as the ratio of caramel swirls to green triangles in Nestlé’s Quality Street (it is two to one). Also, why are there so many Milky Ways yet I can’t get my hands on a Galaxy Caramel, and this box of Celebrations hasn’t been out of my sight? With nearly three months to go until Christmas, Quality Street said it decided to introduce the new flavour to meet consumer demand. The new variety becomes the brand’s 12th flavour after one of the toffee flavours was discontinued last year.

Milk Tray – Manufactured by Cadbury’s, Milk Tray may be most famous for their humorous advertising in the 1980s which associated them light-heartedly with romantic assignations. These days, they are a reliable alternative to Quality Street, featuring a collection of chocolate coated biscuits. Golden Barrel (gold wrapper, previously named Caramel Keg); Caramel (blue wrapper); Country Fudge (light brown wrapper); Hazel in Caramel (purple wrapper); Hazel Whirl (purple wrapper with orange edges); Strawberry Dream (pink wrapper); Tangy Orange Creme (orange wrapper); Signature Truffle (red wrapper with blue edges) and Cadbury Dairy Milk (the only chocolate in the selection where the wrapper doesn't bear the 'Cadbury Roses' logo, it returned to the box in 2020 after initially being dropped following its move to Heroes).

About Us

Celebrations have the tagline "Share the joy", and were one of the first mixed boxes of chocolates in the UK to bring together confectionery which had been already released in one box or tin instead of introducing new, specially-created treats made exclusively for the UK market, by a major producer. Caramel Swirls – Another classic, caramel swirls are simple but satisfying, consisting of a chocolate coating and a soft caramel core. I weighed Nestle Quality Street chocolates from a 650g tub to get an average weight per chocolate for each type.
