Description

Soundwave infiltrated into Autobot City as an inconspicuous music player. Two Giant Bases! Everybody Getting Along, Come On, Fight! Soundwave witnessed the combiners Devastator, Bruticus, and Menasor trying to add the last piece of the Decepticons' new solar tower. Megatron's Ambition!? The Solar Tower Is Built! Though Soundwave appears remote, detached and clinical, he secretly delights in the cries and screams of his enemies. It's literally music to his audio receptors.

Cosmos airlifted Soundwave and Octavia into the fray during the final battle against a Sombra-controlled Scorponok. Finale Finishing off the trilogy with a bang and celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the original Beast Wars franchise, the War for Cybertron: Kingdom line took a new spin on both the Beast Wars and its famous time travelling theme. Waking up from stasis before 1984, the Autobots and Decepticons found themselves caught up in the Beast Wars where the Maximals and Predacons had been fighting over the AllSpark to right the wrongs the Transformers' battle had brought to their future timeline. Soundwave was a Decepticon so horrible that even the other Decepticons hated him. During Megatron's latest scheme to take over the planet Earth, Soundwave attempted to blast Windcharger with his deadly concussion blaster gun, only to be repelled by Windcharger's magnetic powers. Battle for Earth G1-INSPIRED CYBERTRONIAN ALT MODE: Voyager Class WFC-S25 Soundwave toy features classic conversion between robot and Cybertronian spacecraft modes in 25 steps. You want the guy you saw on Netflix? That's not who's in the Netflix box. You'll pay extra for a Netflix box for a different reason.Accessories: Concussion Blaster, Sonic Cannon, Charge Blaster (all combine to form Mega-Blaster), Laserbeak and Ravage Micromasters Soundwave and the other Decepticons were battling the Autobots for control of a space bridge when a freak accident teleported everyone to the Japan of another universe. As they scouted out the terrain, Soundwave and Laserbeak reported on the miraculous energy source beneath the nearby Photonic Power Laboratory. The Decepticons watched as the Autobots took on and later allied with Kōji Kabuto and his Mazinger Z super robot after realizing that Baron Ashura had deliberately misled them into supporting the evil Mechanical Beasts. Not long after the evil robots retreated, the Decepticons sought out their leader Doctor Hell and formed an alliance. With 56 deco ops, this series-inspired figure brings fans the most detailed and series-accurate version of one of their favorite characters from the War for Cybertron series The manner in which Soundwave deploys Laserbeak in Prime is similar to that the Breastforce from Transformers: Victory. When Soundwave does talk in "Minus One", he sounds a lot like Frank Welker. Surprisingly, Soundwave drops his vow of silence altogether in his later appearances in the " Combiner Force" portion of Robots in Disguise.

Soundwave's prehensile tentacles are reminiscent of "movie series" Soundwave, although they are significantly less naughty. Another similarity that "Aligned" Soundwave has with his movie namesake is that, as mentioned in the Transformers Hall of Fame biography, he is susceptible to too many sonic booms.

When the captive Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Sideswipe were brought before Soundwave in the Kaon Prison, Laserbeak swooped down and perched on his master's arm. It soon turned out, however, that Prime's team had allowed themselves to be captured so they could rescue Zeta Prime, and as they escaped and made their way through the prison, Laserbeak could be spotted lurking in the shadows, watching their progress, at three different locations. By the time Prime's group made it to Soundwave's laboratory, where Zeta Prime was being held Laserbeak had reunited with his master, and joined Soundwave in battling the Autobots. Laserbeak served as Soundwave's last line of defense in the clash, ejecting from his chest and screeching across the lab at high speeds, blasting laser bursts onto the Autobots below. He was eventually downed, however, and accompanied Soundwave in a hasty retreat, but not before Soundwave fatally wounded Zeta Prime. In one possible scenario that followed, the Autobots returned to storm the lab shortly after. Soundwave was one of the few Decepticons too afraid of Galvatron's wrath to desert his post, and attempted to fend off the Autobot aggressors. Finding himself on the losing side, Soundwave grabbed the Brain Drain device, and attempted to flee with it. Thanks to the clever design of the cannons, once you close the chest panel they appear like cassette spools through the window. At the same time, each of the weapons is designed with one flat end and one extended end in the chest to resemble AA batteries, just like the weapons from the original Soundwave figure. Even better? The weapons are not just two copies of the same cannon. One cannon has a flat end with several holes sculpted into the front while the other has a flat end that slides out for the robot mode. This triangular end is directly based upon the design of G1 Soundwave's missiles that plugged into his cannon in robot mode. It's not often that weapons on figures get this much attention, so I am quite impressed by the work that went into their design and their fidelity to the source material.

Customer reviews

After Megatron had removed the restraints keeping all of Trypticon's components separated, Soundwave arrived to reformat Trypticon. Megatron held off the swarm of Autobots that attempted to stop them while Soundwave did his work. After the process was complete Soundwave attempted to give Megatron an estimated repair time for Trypticon. Megatron has an idea and tolds Trypticon that he "failed" to destroy Autobots. However, Trypticon was success to almost destroy Lacon City and kills few more Autobots. Soundwave inform Megatron that Trypticon's auxiliary mode would be permanently and Megatron giving him the new Nemesis Protocol mode. Soundwave was in attendance at the Decepticons' latest meeting in their war room. As Megatron discussed his latest plan to finance the construction of a Decepticon army, Soundwave noticed Bumblebee spying on them through a window. Megatron assured Soundwave that this would be used to their advantage, and they would soon both secure the sunken treasures in the waters of Alaska and capture the Autobots. TakaraTomy Mall lists their Soundblaster as a normal Siege exclusive, with an ID number of "SG-EX", while Hasbro Pulse lists the same Soundblaster as an imported TakaraTomy Selects exclusive, given the different ID number of "TT-GS12". Despite the box claiming it only has 73 pieces, it does in fact have the full complement of 75. We counted. The Voyager Class WFC-S25 Soundwave figure comes with HI-KEP Concussion Blaster, LR-HD Sonic Cannon, and EMTX Blitz Charge Blaster accessories. All 3 combine to form a USW HF Sonic Compression Mega-Blaster accessory. Figure features multiple C.O.M.B.A.T. System weapon ports to attach weapons, enabling custom configurations in bot and vehicle modes.
