The light and airy dining room is the perfect setting for the flavoursome dishes knocked out by the kitchen. No prizes for spotting the OXO Tower restaurant as the scene of Jane's (Natalie Portman) disastrous date.

The night’s success has led it to take up a weekly Sunday residency at Colour Factory, which itrecently transformed into a purpose-made ‘utopian nightclub’. With multiple rooms, light-up dancefloors and even a fish tank, this club experience ischaracter building at its finest. Up-and-coming bands and DJs regularly make appearances on the schedule, alongside two legendary club nights: Friday’s Shameless (Proper Y2K pop) which doubles as a karaoke den in the green room and Saturday’s Locomotive Disco (house, disco, techno and funk). I feel more comfortable walking around undressed at Killing Kittens parties than I do fully clothed anywhere else,’ says Polly. Bring your best pyjamas, plenty of snacks (and maybe some Pro Plus) as you embark on a dreamy night of themed back-to-back films from 9pm until 9am.

Its renovated Victorian warehouse space hosts exhibitions, concerts theatre, live art and – most impressive of all – some amazing club nights. The venue’s back room has been entirely covered in gold glitter, a look which somehow works remarkably well with the retro, dated interior. There’s a dungeon and play areas; a couples’ darkroom; happy hours at the bar; ushers carrying trays of free sweets, condoms and lube; and a themed photobooth. Brixton’s multi-floored bar and venue the Prince of Wales serves many functions, but its club space and terrace are the jewels in its musical crown. More likely is that production took place Stateside, and it wasn't worth the cost of coming to London to film a short sequence.

The four DJs behind this Sunday standout at Eagle London revived disco for queer audiences at a time when such silky sounds were dead. Downstairs is a louche L-shaped space with cute corner seating; upstairs is a calmer room that’s great for people watching if you can bag a window seat. Now blessed with a 24-hour licence, it stillstrikes a pleasing balance between style and warehouse raving. It's clearly meant to be the National Portrait Gallery, and even includes the famous Statesmen of World War I painting, whose home is the real NPG.

The crowd here is gay in the broadest sense: anyone with a sense of fun will feel at home, whatever their gender and sexuality. Club Antichrist is an extremely friendly kink, dancing and live music event that’s fiercely and loyally loved by the young and smiley crowd it attracts. Instead, it’s packed with food vendors dishing up mouth-watering street food from all over the world, including Plantain Kitchen's West African eats, Beza Ethiopia’s vegan smorgasbord and Boxwallah’s twists on Delhi-inspired classics.
