The narrator makes too many mouth noises for me and that leaves me distracted from the storyline, what little there is.

Even the least sympathetic ones still had well fleshed out characters and the ending of the story (with a twist I didn’t quite see coming) was really satisfying.This compelling thriller is a story about three women from different social standings, Thea,Annabelle and Thea's ex personal assistant Flora who is now working for Annabelle. Perhaps you’d point out good things they’ve done, remind them of their strengths, and let them know how much you value them.

I think it would be better to read this book rather than listen to it as the narrating is irritating.

The chapters are split into different characters, and whilst their voices aren’t very distinctive, it was interesting to gauge different points of view, whereas Kabler’s mysteries have a different vibe. When you are a teenager your brain is actually doing all sorts, still growing, sending out all kinds of hormones, and trying to figure out who you are on top of that. Any tale involving the death of a child will undoubtedly be a heart squeezer whether the fatality was accidental or something more heinous, and I was back and forth in my theories of which type of act resulted in the death of eight-month-old Zander. We have core values that are consistent, and those are things to identify, but we don’t have to be ‘one thing’.
