Description

Note: Outputs 1-11 can each handle more than the stated mA number. However, it is important to never exceed the max. current rating of all outputs simultaneously.

x CL6 – (5.5x2.1mm barrel input, 5.5x2.5 barrel output; reverse polarity) Green – for Line 6 DL4/M9/etc. and some Eventide pedals. Outputs:8 x 100mA outputs, 4 high-current 300mA outputs, 2 switchable 9-volt/12-volt outputs, 1 switchable 9-volt/18-volt output The 1 SPOT is the original 9V pedalboard power supply that only takes up one spot on an outlet strip or wall outlet. It solves an annoying problem that people have complained about for years, and does so with quiet, reliable performance! Compatible with Boss PSA, Boss ACA, DOD PS-200R, Morley 9V, Danelectro DA-1, Dunlop ECB-03, Ibanez AC109, Zoom AD-0006 adapters Just like with the original 1 SPOT, (and your laptop power supply and phone charger), the 1 SPOT Pro uses switching power supply technology which allows you to use it anywhere in the world. The 1 SPOT Pro won’t leave you stranded at your first international gig!Digitech Whammy: Versions 1-4 may be powered by output 12 (9Vac) Version 5 or Whammy DT may be powered by outputs 10 or 11. Line 6 POD or M13 cannot be powered by the 1 SPOT Pro CS12, even on the 9Vac output. The milliamp draw is too large for those units. With optional converter plugs, the 1 SPOT will work with virtually ANY 9V pedal! …even Line 6 modeling pedals! ** We recognize that not all guitar pedals run off 9V. That’s why all 1 SPOT Pro models have outputs that can put out 9Vdc, 12Vdc or 18Vdc. The CS12 even has a variable voltage output for old-style fuzz pedals, and a 9Vac output for certain Line6 and Digitech pedals. And if you need to change the voltage of an output, Truetone also makes inexpensive converter cables to help you. There’s the Voltage Doubler, which does exactly what its name says, and the 18V to 9V Converter... which also does what its name says. They don’t have the most clever names, but they get the job done!

Line 6 modeling pedals (DL-4/MM-4) may be powered by outputs 8-11, but will also require the CL6 converter. You may optionally use output 12, as the power input of these pedals can use 9Vac or 9Vdc. Input Power: The 1 SPOT Pro CS6 can be used anywhere in the world without the use of a step-up or step-down transformer. Like theoriginal 1 SPOT, it transforms wall voltage from 100-240Vac, and converts it into the stated voltages on the bottom of the unit The Truetone 1 SPOT is guaranteed to work with any equipment that uses one of the following adapters (over 90% of the effects pedals on the market!): Boss PSA, Boss ACA, Danelectro DA-1, DOD PS-200R, Dunlop ECB-03, Ibanez AC-109, Korg A30950, Morley 9V, Zoom AD-0006. With new converter plugs, the 1 SPOT will work with virtually ANY 9V pedal! ...even Line 6 modeling pedals. Will even convert international voltage (100V-240V) automatically; no transformer needed! 3 meter (10') cable is almost twice as long as other adapter cables. x CYR – (5.5x2.1mm barrel input, 5.5x2.1 barrel output; reverse polarity) Red – reverse polarity converter In keeping with the tradition of the 1 Spot, Truetone have opted to use the same Switching Power Supply technology for the 1 Spot Pro range. The Truetone 1 Spot Pro CS7 Power Supply compes complete with everything you need to simply plug-and-play. Overdrives or fuzzes that sound/feel better at lower voltage should utilize output 7. Set the dip switch to the “on” position, and adjust the mini-pot on the face of the unit to the desired voltage, anywhere from 4-9Vdc. The 1 SPOT is the original 9V DC adapter that only takes up one spot on your power strip. With the ability to handle up to 1700mA, the 1 SPOT can power your entire pedalboard. You need to assess your pedals’ power requirements: do they all need 9V, or are some running at 12, 15 or 18V? It's worth noting that some overdrive pedals offer the ability to run at higher voltages for increased headroom, too. The 1 SPOT makes compatibility, polarity, plug size, voltage, etc. easy by providing a guaranteed list of adapters it can replace: Boss PSA, Boss ACA, DOD PS-200R, Morley 9V, Danelectro DA-1, Dunlop ECB-03, Ibanez AC109, and Zoom AD-0006. If your pedal takes one of these adapters (90% of the time), the 1 SPOT is for you.

If your pedal can be powered by a 9Vdc battery, it can be powered by one of the 9Vdc outputs ( an exception being the Boss ACA pedals, see below). Please note this used to be known as the Visual Sound 1 Spot- the company has now changed its name to Truetone!) Line 6 M9 may be powered by outputs 10-11, but will also require the CL6 converter. The M9 can also be powered directly by the 9Vac of output 12.True to the spirit of the original 1 Spot power supplies, the new 1 Spot Pro range uses exactly the same switching power supply technology. Radial Tonebone 15Vdc pedals can be powered by an 18Vdc output, using the Reverse Polarity Converter (CYR) included with the 1 SPOT Pro. Then there are mA requirements: while some fuzz and overdrive pedals might only draw 10mA, contemporary digital and multi-effects can draw anywhere from 100-1,000mA. In these instances, you’ll need to look at power supplies that are able to output higher mA from each output. Do guitar pedals use AC or DC power? The 1 SPOT Pro CS6 can be used anywhere in the world without the use of a step-up or step-down transformer. Like our 1 SPOT, it transforms wall voltage from 100-240Vac, and converts it into the stated voltages on the bottom of the unit.

The most important decision you need to make when buying one of the best pedalboard power supplies is whether you need isolated outputs or not. Essentially, isolated outputs supply each pedal with its own individual power source, which removes hum from the equation – something you may experience when running digital and analog pedals together from the same daisy chain. Unless you’re only running a handful of analog units - which is highly unlikely these days - we’d always recommend an isolated pedal power supply wherever possible. Who knows how your rig might change in the future? What power supply do I need for my pedal board? The Walrus Audio Phoenix is an absolute beast, giving you isolated power that can handle 9, 12 and 18V power in a total of 15 different pedals. Four 300mA outlets are available and made to handle larger pedals while keeping your signal clean and noise-free. Toroidal transformers assist in this process by providing noise filtering and clean power.x CYR (5.5x2.1mm barrel input, 5.5x2.1 barrel output; reverse polarity) Red reverse polarity converter Battery Clip Converters, (2) 3.5mm (1/8”) Converters and an L6 Converter for Line 6 modeling pedals You can even use the 1 SPOT anywhere in the world without a voltage converter because it automatically converts voltage worldwide. No need to worry about AC hum interfering with your sound either... the 1 SPOT is one of the quietest power sources you can buy. Many germanium based fuzzes and Octavia-style pedals will require the use of the CYR adaptor to reverse the polarity to center pin positive. Now available from Merchant City Music, online and in our Glasgow store, the Truetone 1 Spot pedal AC adaptor is the solution to your niggling pedal powering problems.
