In 2013, a story in r/nosleep was posted about ‘ The voices of /X/’: a 4chan journal that ‘sent people insane’. The post spoke about synchronicity by Carl Jung as well; meaningful coincidences. It stated a group of anons on the 4chan paranormal board /x/ decided to keep a journal recording their experiences of synchronicity. They wanted to get to the bottom of what synchronicity could mean. They called this project VOX: The Voices of X. It encouraged people to record anything synchronicity wise they thought was unusual or would make them seem crazy. The more these anons started recording synchronicity (strange coincidences), the more they started to notice dark patterns within events that seemed to point to some altogether dark or demonic force at work.
