Very little sounds bad. Sure, there are recordings that sound bad. But they are still listenable on the SS 9.5s. You might not want to crank them up, but you can enjoy what’s there. A lot has changed in the room since then - painting, furnishing, redecorating, etc. - but it has remained a remarkable-sounding room. I think it sounds better than many highly tweaked "listening rooms" that I have heard. Is it Carnegie Hall? Certainly not. And, here's the thing: I like my music space to look wonderful, because I need to keep my eyes open while listening. I don't know about you, but if I close my eyes while listening to music, I fall asleep!
