We live in a very exposed part of Cumbria at 1100 feet high with no protection from the prevailing wet weather. Exterior paints are more popular than ever, with homeowners looking to rejuvenate and protect their houses – here at Sandtex, we plan to make that possible. Use it on exterior masonry and exterior grade building boards to achieve a durable, high opacity finish. Their weatherproof formula makes them suitable to withstand harsh and varying weather conditions, from heat waves to storms.

If spray applying *(SMOOTH ONLY) we recommend using or hiring a premium brand (Graco/Wagner) high pressure airless sprayer. It is not necessary to remove all existing paint – that which is still well bonded to the surface will normally provide an adequate base for "Weatherflex". If the surface is prepared correctly in accordance with the data sheet and regularly maintained, "Weatherflex" will last for 15 years. If the Kingfisher damp proofing and tanking systems had to be first class to dry out a century old cow byre, then the exterior coating had to be even classier! Used 1 coat of smooth wirh a coat of textured Weatherflex over it to match the gable end render on a house built in 1902.Note: This is especially important if there is a possibility that the surface might previously have been treated with a clear water repellent or similar.
