Description

Xoriguer Mahon Gin is a premium Spanish gin that perfectly captures the essence of the Mediterranean island of Menorca. We recommend that you do not rely solely on the information presented here and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product. Beers of Europe are active on a number of platforms, follow us everywhere on our social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Tik Tok. You wouldn’t know it from the nose as it’s light and unassuming but once you sip you’ll taste the depth of sweetness within this bourbon alongside the toasty alcohol burn. A full box also helps to reduce the small chance of damage, as empty compartments collapsing can be a cause of this.

A short stint in oak barrels just before bottling adds an extra measure of smoothness, giving this gin a unique, aromatic edge. At IDS we aim to create a culture of sustainability, guiding our decision making and direction as a business with an international scope. We got two hours to visit Mahon and an hour boat trip around the harbour which was a tad underwhelming also. This is a zesty gin, best served over ice, we had ours with tonic, something I was told many years ago is that there is no such thing as a bad gin just a bad tonic, well that's rubbish, we had tonic from Aldi and our drinks were fab. This gin, a drink of Nordic origin, began being produced in Menorca (the Balaeric Islands) in the 18th century, when the taverns were full of English sailors and soldiers who demanded the drink that was fashionable in their homeland: gin. They mention that its beautiful, flavoursome, excellent with a light tonic and that its packaged well.

It’s crucial to get your glass as cold as possible by initially stirring a few ice cubes around the glass to chill it. Because we now live in a world where we can have just about anything delivered to us at our fingertips. The aromatic herbs are a closely guarded secret, with the identity and proportions only known by the heirs of the family who make Xoriguer. Pack a bottle, v carefully, in your checked-in baggage because there's been some sort of a squabble between Xoriguer and the holders of the 'duty-free' concession at Mahón airport. Beers of Europe strictly adheres to these regulations and by agreeing to our Terms and Conditions on checkout you confirm that you are over 18 years old.

Please be aware that even if the label looks different, that product will be the same product if it has the same barcode.

Xoriguer Gin comes to us from necessity, when 18th century British soldiers stationed on the Spanish island of Menorca found themselves craving gin, but coming up short with the necessary ingredients. There is a TUI excursion which picks you up at the hotel and takes you door to door, not quite sure on how much that is, but we found it cheaper the other way.

Stumbled upon Xoriguer gin distillery whilst looking round the Mahon port, limited opportunity to learn about gin distilling from the instructional video presentations, however, a fantastic opportunity to taste their products. Xoriguer Mahon Gin is produced in Menorca , in the port of Mahon , for over 200 years with the same recipe. Also recommended is a visit to the Xoriguer distillery in Mahon and sample some (or all) of the many flavours. With its notes of citrus, herbs, and juniper, Xoriguer Mahon Gin is perfect for sipping on its own or as a key ingredient in a classic cocktail.
