Description

The motion sequence function records knob movements, letting you add time-varying change to the sound. You can create loops, or use this function live for strikingly original performances. Up to 16 sequence patterns and sounds can be saved in the unit. Although the volca modular is a West Coast style synthesizer, it also provides flexible support for music as a contemporary instrument. You can choose from 14 types of scale including equal temperament. Since you can also specify the tonic key from which these scales start, you can play these scales in any key.

The ideal introductory synthesizer, with a simple – yet powerful – polyphonic analogue sound engine and loop sequencer The Volca Keys makes writing down and developing an idea easier than ever. The easy to use onboard Loop and Motion Sequencers pin down not only what you're playing in real time, but also your knob edits for even more precise control over texture. You have plenty to work with when creating patterns: the Active Step and Flux functions pepper the dynamics needed to make your signature sound. Built-In Arpeggiation, Effects, and Moreloop or unexpectedly irregular rhythms, allowing dynamic performances just as though you were performing The sequencer speed can also be changed to a half, or a quarter, that of the rate selected by the Tempo knob. The Motion Sequence function lets you record knob movements, letting you apply time-varying changes to your

Three true-analogue synthesizers with built-in sequencers to generate the ultimate analogue leads, basses, or rhythms a b c Zubizarreta, Javier (2014-06-15). The Voice knob also allows selection of unison ring mode, where the three oscillators produce a single, ring-modulated note using the square wave, and poly ring mode, where there can be polyphony using ring modulation on the square wave. In polyphonic ring modulation (ring mod) mode, a single note will sound as a normal square wave without ring mod but as soon as a second or third note is played, ring modulation will occur. There is no pulse-width modulation of the square wave. There's also a built-in delay, and a step sequencer. We'll talk about these a little more, later. For the meantime, let's talk about the sound.

With a simple structure that includes delay effect and a sequencer, it's also an ideal choice as a first analogue synth. It offers the richly expressive sounds that are distinctive of an analogue synth, providing the enjoyment of simple yet deep sound-creation. It also uses the MiniKORG700s filter, which is a great filter. The LFO has 3 waveforms: sawtooth, square and triangle which make for some great modulation variety.
