EE uses IP v6 as well as IP v4 and there is a hitch in this as many of my devices are IP v4 only and this router does not deal with that well. The Huawei B818-263 CAT19 LTE 4G Router is simple to use, cost effective and very reliable with very few 4G service dropouts and just needs the occasional reboot when this happens. Interestingly, side by side and using the dashboard to look at signal strengths and download speeds for internal only and external only gave identical results, so the built-in antennas are on a par with the Poynting.
However, the B818 makes it very difficult to attach external antennas, which has made them challenging to use in areas of low 4G or 5G signal strength. So far I've had the same IP, the modem set it's self up with the 3internet APN which apparently results in a public IP address and no NAT at Three's end.It is a versatile router that is suitable for both home and small business users, providing a seamless online experience. All internal antenna connections have been re-routed to the outside of the case, and are exposed as four secure SMA-female connections on the side of the router.
In particular, the new LTE wireless router was convincing, this offers above-average speeds and is extremely future-proof. If the problem still persists, contact your network provider to check if your SIM card is out of service or if it has been activated. As a very rough guide use my method below, this is how I used to remember the stuff until it all became embedded in my brain (and even then I still sometimes forget it). If you go to the ISP site I posted above and have a good read through the posts before and after you'll get a better idea of what to do. Even the Huawei B818 can provide high LTE and WLAN speeds for daily use, but probably only for the fewest users. The 90 and 9 numbers all represent a fairly good values and good figures to aim for and anything better is a bonus.
lol Interestingly, this was a stronger signal than the EE, so make sure you actually do speed tests rather than using a signal strength app on your mobile/router. I have to investigate why but in any case the internal antennas are more than sufficient for this router. It also comes with a voice port3 for telephones and two external antenna ports to receive more signals.
