Furthermore, the ending was abrupt and left me feeling feeling like I shouldn’t have bothered. There needed to be more explanations for the choices made. It seemed as though the author attempted a stylistic choice with the sudden conclusion, but it did not fit well with the rest of the story. It felt incomplete. It felt so unfinished. I want answers. Does Sophia ever find out why Kyle did what he did? Why did Kayla? What happens to Bax and where does Ryan go? Does she ever get to go home? Give me more of her and Josh together. GIVE ME SMUT. I know I know that not every book is smutty or needs smut. But this has the perfect line up. I can’t even say it’s closed door. We don’t even get that. It’s just tension build up and then nothing. It’s just ends. They get interrupted or the subject gets changed and nothing ever happens. The conniving h's ex-best friend.....Nothing happens? No consequences for anything. No admitting to starting the whole plot? this book had a lot of potential. It had a good plot, great characters and a whole lot of drama. With editing aside, I think my main issue with this novel was that it was long drawn out. We had the same jealous and ridiculously annoying situations between our F MC and her ex-boyfriend. They spend so much time on this plot line and how he didn’t want to break up with her over and over again. Sophie’s parents had to go to Africa and she was forced to live with Kyle’s family because her parents thinks that’s for the best lol

I wanted to enjoy this book more after reading it but it felt a bit short towards the ending. Like time was running out and it had to end some type of way.Also, she got a boob job? Before she turned 18 (or just the re about), before she graduated from high school, because she thought she wasn't developed enough? That's...unusual. Again, all you have to do is make your characters a tiny bit older and it makes more sense. I started skimming because I was getting bored with the repetition. Every chapter the h said “Kyle (her ex boyfriend) made me this way; I use to like school, but now I want to be bad.” 🙄🙄 A month after Kyle breaks her heart. She is forced to start a new year without her boyfriend or best friend.

I feel like a lot of younger Wattpad authors are projecting - they wish they could be doing those things, so they create a (same-aged) version of themselves as a heroine who does all those things. Mary Sue anyone? Look, I was a teenage girl once. I get it. You want to be older than you are. You want to be a part of a world that looks so exciting. You insist that you're more mature than you are. Maybe you are mature. Are you adult-biker-hookup mature? Are you living-on-your-own-without parents-mature? You are not, I'm telling you (that was a fever dream for sure). And I'm not saying that the author is a teenager, although it's possible she wrote or thought the story up while a teenager. But that's how it reads. Make the characters a few years older. There's a world of difference between an 18-year-old high school senior and a 22-year-old college student. The college student is still immature, but they'recloser to being on their own and living an adult life and it shows in the choices that are legitimately available to them. Sophia never saw herself falling in love and she certainly didn't see herself falling in love with the golden boy at her high school. But it happened and before she knew it, she was pulled into his world. She is forced to stay with him and his family but she soon finds the man that keeps her sane, isn't the golden boy — Kyle any more. It's his older bad boy brother, who just got out of prison. TANGLED Sophia never saw herself falling in love and she certainly didn't see herself falling in love with the golden boy at her high school. But it happened and before she knew it, she was pulled into his world. The story only focus on our MCs for a moment and it never got past that point, almost like a tease.

So I loved this book! It had me from the start, and I read it in about 8 hours. I gave it 4 stars for the spelling errors and the abrupt ending. GOD THAT ENDING! No epilog, no nothing. Additionally, the side characters felt insignificant and had little impact on the overall narrative. Kyle's parents, for instance, were present but seemed to serve no purpose other than being around. They never stepped in and acted as genuine parents, almost rendering their inclusion in the story unnecessary. The story was good flowed well and I got really invested in the characters and loved how the story was going but the ending it’s like the book stopped before it was suppose to leaving way to many questions unanswered This reads like a wattpad story and was so painful to read its hilarious. I forced myself to finish it and it actually hurt.

It was hard to read at times for how broken the main character, Sophia was. But also Kyle's character, who was just a coward. He could saved all the heartbreak by being truthful to Sophia to begin with. Josh's character was pretty good. Again I just felt like the story was rushed. Characters have tattoos then they don't, then they do. She knows he's in an mc then she doesn't then his world "isn't as dark" as Bax's then it's much darker. Josh hears Kayla say she (Soph) isn't pregnant then keeps acting like he needs to raise a baby. And then it all ends. Nobody ever actually resolves anything, Soph and Josh apparently become telepathic because they don't have to actually say they want to be together. It was just a mess. And why did Kyle have to end up being such a d-bag? She thought everything was going great — till he dumped her, on her birthday — in front of all her family and friends and on top of that was cheating on her with her best friend Kayla. Kyle’s brother, Joshua is out of prison after two years.
