I found myself laughing at times at just how absurd this premise was and what I was reading on the page – you’ll need a massive suspension of disbelief to sit through it. Regine Abel still holds the crown for creating well rounded beast erotica, but CM Nascosta came pretty darn close to matching that high standard. I was totally cheering for Violet and Rourke, and would 100% read more in this series or from this author.

Violet found that she couldn’t think badly of the woman in the photos, for she herself seemed completely different compared to the person she’d been only six months earlier; before she’d known about minotaur milking farms and vampire restaurants, when she’d been ignorant to the way her neighbors of different species lived and had been blind to her human privilege. While I could have done with a bit less (okay, well, a lot less) of the milking scenes, once we finally got to the romance aspect of the story, I found myself starting to enjoy the story. On the flip side, though, I thought the sex scenes between Rourke and Violet would be sexier considering everything else in the book. Anyway this story was surprisingly good, straddling the razor’s edge between romance and smut effectively. The writing was great (though it does switch between past and present a bit much) and the romance was so…. She’d never dated a non-human before, but it was impossible to deny that this minotaur was exceedingly attractive. This isn't what the hero looks like at all (nor what I imagined him to be), but the world building reminded me too much of Zootopia with mythical creatures.You get some very descriptive and explicit handjob scenes between them that show off that sexual attraction early on. Yet with all of the descriptive nature of the work that the heroine does and her imaginative fantasies I was kind of underwhelmed when Violet and Roark actually did the dirty deed. Morning Glory Milking Farm is my first monster romance, and I’ve got to say, it managed to be exactly what I expected it to be, but also unexpected in how sweet the romance was. Hands-on work with minotaurs isn't something Violet ever considered as a career option, but she's determined to turn the opportunity into a reversal of fortune. The sexual encounters were solid, the characters were interesting, and the author took some risks with a unique premise.
