Then, if all these scenes where the line between rape and consent are incredibly blurred aren't bad enough, there's the way this guy is constantly seeking to control her, demands answers he really doesn't deserve, and lacks total empathy. But over a decade of barriers start to fall as soon as the Dark Prince’s path intertwines with hers and he now owns her body and soul - disobeying and rejecting the legally binding blood oath that exists between them will only lead to death or worse for Synthia. felt okay to start reading M/ M romance and not feel too much of a weirdo because there were others out there who liked them too!

My sweet husband bought me a Nook right after that and then an iPad, and I have been addicted to reading ever since.I was confused on some of the fae terms used as they weren’t explained, and I am not all that familiar with Fae stuff. The main character is annoying and constantly makes terrible decisions that end with her being "owned" and then complains for a while, but apparently actually enjoys it deep down because not having free will and being forced into situations where a hot guy could rape you if he felt like it, but chooses not to (making him honorable apparently) is extremely hot and romantic. Can I say how jealous I am of some one who gets to pick up oh like Sweet Dreams and read It for the first time.

He’s a rude, overbearing egotistical ass with a compulsive need to possess, dominate and control me. What started out as a strange assignment leads to one of the most gruesome murder mysteries of our times, and my friends and I are determined to find out who is killing off fae and witches alike? All the hurt nearly breaks her in the end, but when more truths, and thusly more lies are uncovered, will she be able to handle it or will she finally succumb to the ever long darkness that brings comfort to her soul? Fighters Destiny follows the same concept but also relies on a customizable point scoring system to determine the winner.Always had, and would continue to do so, until someone decided they weren’t worth keeping around any longer. Syn and her friends can’t trust anyone and nothing is as it seems on the surface – not even herself.

This series is so addictive although at the beginning of this book I was not sure as Patrick's mate was getting on my nerves haha. They are so focused on their martyrdom they do not clue into the fact they are doing more harm to the greater good. Oh—did I mention that he is absolutely sex-on-a-stick gorgeous and he makes me feel things that I never ever wanted to feel for a Fae.Sometimes a story isn’t about the romance; it’s about rising to a challenge, breaking through them like wrecking balls, and shaking up entire worlds to discover who they really are. From the deplorable writing (I refuse to talk about it), to the awful Alpha-ragebeast nature of Ryder (more on that later), to the head-bangingly annoying Mary-Sueish ness of Synthia (later, later, later). If I am remembering right they each are the second in their series, but I do think you can start with them. While Syn has always been confident, independent, astute and intelligent, she finds herself faltering and losing all rationality when it comes to this beastly, animalistic man intent on governing her.

years prior, the lethal, dark Fae made apparent their presence on Earth, altering dynamics of the world, including its manoeuvrings and politics. Ryder is an alpha to his muscly core, masculine, primal, overbearing as all hell, self-assured, self-satisfied, dominant, cocky but deadly above all else, with unlimited power pulsing from him in unending waves. I also love that she even wrote in Ryder's POV, which was great, cause then you get the see what's on his dark mind.

BOOK ONE—Fighting Destiny (2013): Have you ever heard of the old Celtic legends of the Fae - beautiful, magical, and deadly creatures that have a love of messing with humans just for kicks and giggles? Amber: I’ve been sucked into Bully Romance lately and I LOVED Khai Hara’s Royal Crown Academy series…book 1 was AMAZING!
