Petronix Defenders premieres Saturday, October 15 at 8:30 a.m. / 7:30 C, with new episodes premiering Saturdays at 9 a.m. / 8 C.ON currently has five more CG-animated shows in development under Borde’s watchful eye: Jo Go for Gold! is an original comedy-sport series for six- to 10-year-olds timed to lead into the 2024 Paris Olympic Games; The 3 Musketeers targets kids ages five to eight and recasts the iconic swordsmen as young girls; Animal Force is an action-comedy for six to 10s that will be co-produced with La Station Animation; and rounding out the slate are two shows from comics creator Joann Sfar that will run through ON subsidiary Joann Sfar’s Magical Society. After primarily focusing on animated adaptations for six- to 10-year-olds based on classic IPs, Parisian studio ON Kids & Family is now broadening its TV slate to meet demand for upper preschool series, family co-viewing and originals.The 52 x 13′ series is aimed at children from 4 to 7 years old. It is produced in association with the M6 Group (Gulli and M6Kid) and Super RTL, in partnership with the Chinese toy manufacturer and global media group Alpha, the segment leader in the Chinese market, and one of the main players in the toy market worldwide. Petronix Defenders is one of four new CG-animated shows for upper preschool in the works at the studio. Karters is an original series in development about a team of girl knights who use racing karts to save the world; The Little Prince and Friends is in production as a spinoff of ON’s popular kids series The Little Prince; and The Enchanted Village of Pinocchio is in production with Italian drama prodco Palomar for RAI in Italy and France Télévisions.
