Once you have your Kydex cutting jig, there are a few things to keep in mind when using it. First, always use a sharp blade. A dull blade will cause your cuts to be less precise and can even damage the Kydex material. Second, take your time and make sure that each cut is made slowly and deliberately. Although a jigsaw can be used to cut Kydex, it is not the ideal tool for the job. A jigsaw will not give you a clean, straight cut, and it can create a lot of heat that can damage the plastic. If you must use a jigsaw, make sure to use a low speed setting and a fine-toothed blade designed for cutting plastic.
