The combination of keys Fn + R allows you to reset the key-codes if you have had fun creating your personal macros with full knowledge of the facts. Until recently, mechanical keyboards were the object of admiration only by individual writers and famous programmers. Built entirely with different mechanisms under each key, the technology is as old as the appearance of the keyboard itself. I am on the market looking for a mechanical keyboard. It's fair to say I am a noob on this topic so any form of information is appreciated.

Micro USB port wiggles/loose, can lose connection if moving keyboard. Feels shoddy. A keyboard for this price point should have Type-C or at least Type-A. Paired with the aluminum case, it appears that Vortex may have been looking to keep the slightly cushy feel that was mentioned earlier. Its PCB is excellent given its engineering sample status (though the revision code is quite old, so this has been in the works for a while). The Vortex 3 is also protected from shorts by a plastic sheet.

No bodge wires or serious soldering errors are present, but one interesting choice stood out to me. A solder point near the enterkey is almost hanging out in space. It also appears that some odd solder bridges are necessary for an associated LED to function. That seems like sketchy PCB design, but I doubt that it will cause any post-production failures.Press and hold Fn + R to erase any programming on the layer you are on. This obviously only applies to layers L1-L3 and is shown by the left space bar LED flashing white for 5 seconds, after which you can stop holding the two keys. mricolcol please post a screenshot where you found and connected it, as otherwise, nobody else could learn from what you found.
