With the snowy location this story felt wonderfully festive, even though the festivities were not the focus of the story.

This story began as a seed ten years ago when Swan watched ‘The Crash Reel’ based on Kevin Pearce’s snowboarding accident while training for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The setting itself, set mainly in the Austrian Alps, sounded beautiful, and even though I know nothing about snowboarding, I really enjoyed the storyline. Kit has been accused of breaching Cory’s priority on a specific wave, blocking his line and effectively forcing him under the water. Kit is determined to be uncooperative, fearing that they will not be objective in how they represent his side of the story. Kit Foley seems to have been involved in a surfing accident that left champion Cory Allbright disabled and unable to take part in any further surfing championships, in fact depriving him totally of his livelihood.
