Place a few flowers and give this space a Zen like meditative calm that can propel you to lose yourself in introspection and prayer like none other. Whether it is contemporary or ethnic, this piece of furniture can lift and elevate your larger pieces of decor to stylish heights. An Indian Bajot Table is Versatile and Stylish at the Same Time

As pretty as they are practical, this unique and decadent range of Bajot Tables is the perfect accessory to turn your tent into a boutique home-away-from-home! This wood glue was recommended by the hardware clerk. I don’t plan to put anything very heavy on my table, so I just used glue and skipped the nails.

It occurred to me that the 2×4’s would adhere to the piece of wood underneath, so I moved them to the top of an old frame. I let them dry partially, then I lifted the bonded 2×4’s off of the frame. There was some adhesion to the frame underneath, but I was able to get them off pretty easily. Then I let the glue dry for 24 hours. For feet, I used four wooden craft balls that I found at a tag sale. You can find these at all the major craft stores. I rested the table atop the balls until it was stable on all sides. This bajot can be used for sitting and it can also be used for a platform where you can place your coffee mug while you read and drink, and also a place where you can place your reading glasses when you want to shut the book and just take in the beauty of the prose you have just read. Apart from this, the bajot chowki can also be used for other decorative purposes in a more formal space. Durable Wooden Bajots are Totally in Style The decorative chowki can be used in pairs in either corner of the living room so that you can place large decorative Ming vases or brass urns on them. This will not only ground the room, but it will also give your space a much-needed luxurious lift that can create some sort of symmetrical balance as well. You would do well to choose bajots that come with different shapes like hexagons and squares or even circles. You should choose the carving on the lower periphery as well as the legs with care so that it matches the overall theme of the living room. Layer the chowki with mats and place small white and other crystal-like stone on top before you place the vases or urns. I laid the 2×4’s down side by side in my desired arrangement. It’s not perfect, but good enough for me 🙂These tables have been ethically made and intricately hand-painted in India, detailed to true BC perfection. Measuring at a cute and compact 45x45cm, not only are they easy and convenient to transport but also extremely versatile when it comes to furnishing preferences. We like to use them as bedside tables, but you can also push multiple together to elongate the length, creating a funky low dining table that can be beautifully finished by placing cushions and throws around for seating... A true Boutique banquet! KEY FEATURES I painted the feet first. I didn’t bother to paint the bottom of the table as it won’t be visible. It would’ve been tough with all of the dried glue, as well.

And finally the top. I ended up painting three coats to get full coverage. I decided not to distress the paint. After doing some research, I learned that the table is known as a bajot table. These tables were used for floor dining or spiritual offerings.
