When it’s the proper time to do business, remember to always be honest while presenting your best self. Now, Rohit started talking to Rahul asking about, what’s Your YouTube Channel name and what you write about…

This book is a step-by-step guide to developing your confidence, approaching people, starting up a conversation, and keeping it going. There’s some useful advice about how to overcome social fears that can get in the way of making conversation, including the fear of rejection. The author includes a 31-day “Zero To Hero” confidence course, which pulls together the advice in the book. There’s some solid advice, but lots of it is too basic and there are better books out there. Interest Gauging Questions - These questions help to determine if you will connect with the person. It will show if they follow current events and their level of interest in the subject. E.g: "Everybody seems to have an opinion on 'abc'. What's yours? or "I just heard 'xyz', do you think we are headed for....?It DOES cover how to be a better listener, how to avoid misunderstandings, build rapport, and have hard conversations. Meaning that you’ll have 92 secret weapons for becoming an expert socializer ( and as many “Little strokes” as you’d like). So dive in and learn some of the basic – and some of the more advanced – techniques that can help you through a casual conversation or stressful high-stakes meeting. You’ll be glad you did! Hang by Your Teeth – Visualize a circus iron-jaw bit hanging from the frame of every door you walk through. Take a bite and, with it firmly between your teeth, let it swoop you to the peak of the big top. When you hang by your teeth, every muscle is stretched into perfect posture position. The best conversationalist look at things from a new or unique angle, taking an unusual perspective on a common subject.

You want to apply storytelling to a business context. The general principles apply to non-professional settings, but the book is written mainly with a business audience in mind. This again might reflect the difference between publishing something in 2003 versus 2017, but today as a consumer of media I’ve essentially come to expect that a book, blog or piece of media will over-promise and under-deliver. Now, Rohit is just waiting for you to say something and you’re waiting for Rohit to say something and that was the movement where, Rohit will say, Oh great, I will see you later. You’re short on time and want to cut straight to the techniques. (If so, choose The Fine Art of Small Talk.)Learning to listen well, and paying attention to other people’s body language can go a long way toward making you a master of communication, but there’s one final lesson to build on what you’ve learned. Lesson 5: Relationship Building Strategies When meeting or pitching to clients, people tend to make the mistake of talking about how much the customer is going to benefit, while avoiding the subject of what they’ll get out of the deal. While you might think this is just being polite, it can come across as disingenuous. Instead, just be transparent and upfront about how both the client, and yourself, will benefit. This way, they won’t think that you’re trying to pull a fast one.
