Description

The Evidence-based nursing game helps nurses understand how evidence-based practice works and tests their knowledge about evaluating literature and best practice. Different tasks have different points and there are bonus points for performing something extra for some tasks. And, it is a great activity for team-building because of the way in which participants work in groups. The game only takes a few minutes to play and is a fun and enjoyable way to test your knowledge and skills. In other words, this activity is great fun for participants and because they work in groups, it is great for the participants to get to know each other.

As a trainer, this activity requires very little equipment and is very easy to run and use. Length of Group Activity Another discussion point may revolve around how group dynamics affect which tasks we decide to prioritize. The hilarious game of absurd choices: Priorities is a crazy new party game that will have you questioning your own and your friends’ priorities. How well do they really know you? You will also need another sheet of paper from the flipchart (or you can use a whiteboard for this), where you will have drawn a matrix for writing and adding up the scores for each team. To return faulty items see our Returning Faulty Items policy. Takes 2 minutes to learn and plays in 30 minutes. No lengthy rules manuals, no fiddly bits – just jump straight in and enjoy! Perfect for 2 or more players and even better with a big group. Ages 14+, ideal for a party, after dinner, or on holiday. Some groups will divide tasks between their team members so that the team can work on more than one task at the same time. This would show the importance of delegation. Many teams will choose those tasks that are easier or faster to do AND have higher points values. This shows a preference for prioritizing high-yield tasks over low-yield ones.

Nurses are increasingly challenged to deliver high-quality care supported by evidence-based practice. Players take on roles as members of ward staff. Before the shift ends, they must achieve a target number of admissions and discharges and also manage ongoing patient care. As the shift progresses, events occur, and tasks need to be completed – players must work together to make decisions, prioritise duties and use their role-specific skills and authority to complete patient care tasks. The Priorities Game gives players the opportunity to think about how care delivery and nursing tasks should be prioritised. The game simulates a typical hospital ward, with patients that require admission, discharge and general care. Players must work together to decide which tasks take priority and how to achieve them while still providing effective patient care. The Care Certificate Game is an educational board game designed to create discussions that test and deliver the knowledge required to achieve success in the Care Certificate. It contains questions and scenarios that deliver knowledge and test competency in key areas of care delivery. It's always an excellent service with brilliant products at a very competitive price - will use again! You can also ask the participants to draw something on an online whiteboard or to find a particular item by browsing the internet (this task would have low points as it is pretty easy to find everything on the internet unless you can think of something that is really hard to find.)
