The Isle of Man’s Milner’s Tower 50 pence coin is a rare find in Britain because of its low mintage figures and because it’s not legal tender in the UK. The tower was built in the shape of a lock and key to represent Milner’s safe-making days which brought him the wealth he shared with locals. Just noted that in the Olympic 50p list Volleyball and Badminton are shown with a mintage of 2,113,500 each (which is less than Fencing that appears higher in the list 2,115,500) The royal mint report Volleyball and Badminton as 2,133,500 each.

Visible for miles around across the Port Erin Bay, Milner’s Tower was built in 1871 as a memorial to the champion of Port Erin, William Milner.
