Homme is a wonderful companion for the spring, autumn and winter months for the slightly younger, or slightly young-at-heart gentleman looking for an aromatic, flattering fragrance that stands out a little from the crowd. Secret Woods EDP: "I prefer to wear it in the evening, for special occasions: it has an undeniable charm that has never failed to impress me!" - Humbert Since I have a test bottle, I don’t have a cap, but the cap is like other Costume National fragrances, meaning that it fits very closely on the sprayer and kind of makes you wonder if there’s even any room for the sprayer underneath. I’ll attach a picture of my bottle of Scent Intense for reference. The sprayer itself is your average run-of-the-mill atomizer, nothing fancy but nothing shabby either.

Master perfumers, with their great skill, create authentic works of artin each of the brand's collections, using high qualityingredients. The main goal of Costume National is to give new lifeto precious ingredientsfrom the perfumery art, such as amber, sandalwood, saffron, jasmine, ylang-ylang, and patchouli, transforming them into elegantand modernfragrances that maintain a timeless style. A brand with a refined taste, which is also reflected in the iconic designof its flasks, sculpted following a plaster modelcreated by the founder himself. There’s no doubt: these flacons represent a manifesto of styleand beauty, capable of satisfying both the eyeand the noseof the most demanding enthusiasts! My initial impression stays, this is a wonderful perfume. Even for those that don't like cloves, like me, this can be perfectly accesible. The comparison to Comme des Garçons is one that I can understand, especially during the first few minutes. But this perfume is a lot softer and much less pungent than CDG, which was more medicinal and heavy. I find CNH more versatile and more crowd friendly. It kind of reminds me of the holidays, don't know why though, but it does. This is going to appeal to only a certain subset of people. I don’t mean that it’s an unattractive fragrance, because it’s not in the least. However, it is definitely very far away from your Dior Sauvage or Bleu de Chanel types which dominate the men’s perfume scene today. Costume National Homme Parfum is a scent I’ve fallen in love with ever since I bought it, and I’ve been wearing it almost constantly.

In a few words, Costume National Homme Parfum is: rich, smooth, spicy, creamy, woody, dark green, exotic, and festive. Presentation I vastly prefer this over the original eau de parfum, which I tried a number of times but never could convince myself to enjoy. Dominique Ropion is a French master perfumer, born in Paris in 1955. He attended the Roure Bertrand Dupont perfumery school in Grasse to pursue his passion for perfumery. After completing his education, he started his career at the legendary Roure Bertrand laboratories, where he met his friend and collaborator, Frédéric Malle.

Soul Parfum EXT: a pure and elegant unisex oriental fragrance! The Amber heart creates a unique, noble and romantic olfactory symphony. J EDP: a tribute to Japanese tradition with a modern twist. The fragrance combines fine ingredients with typical Japanese delicacy, creating an ethereal and luminous fragrance.EDP: "This fragrance is so pure and candid! It smells like milk, but also has spicy notes that create a wonderful contrast…wow!” - Grace If you didn't like the original but like the idea of the original, give this a try. You just might fall in love. Homme EDP: “A fresh, citrusy, woody scent that gets you going! My friends loves it, and even my wife can't resist sneaking a spray or two " - Fabrizio One is that this is a very high quality, high performance, designer fragrance with a niche character.

It's longevity is amazing, I applied it to my wrist at around 6 PM, even washed my hands a few times with water, but when I took a shower this morning at around 11:30 AM, I could still smell it on my wrist. Usually my skin tends to eat fragrances a little bit, but I was really impressed. At the same time, the clove is underlined by a subtle sweet-spicy nuance, which ensures that the heart note has a beautiful smooth substance and is due to the cinnamon.

Ropion was Laurent Bruyere's most frequent co-creator, working together with him on eight different fragrances. The most well known of these is Thierry Mugler Alien. In many ways Homme is a classic bit of Ropion construction and there are some elements from two of my favorite overlooked fragrances by M. Ropion; the Kenzo pair of Jungle L'Elephant and Jungle Le Tigre. These two notes are surrounded by a beautiful light balsamic note reminiscent of blossom honey, which gives the base flattering attributes and allows the fragrance to fade away wonderfully. When I wear this fragrance, I envision a well-groomed man in his late 20s or early 30s, perhaps wearing a dark olive green suit. He is well traveled, worldly, and balanced, completely in his element. I think that it would be the perfect fragrance for a poet, philosopher, writer, scholar, or artsy types. The fragrance opens up with a blast of grapefruit and the distinctive, licoricey twang of green cardamom pods. While I’m not a big fan of cardamom in food other than as an accent note (it always makes my tongue dry out), I absolutely love the smell of cardamom. This has one of the most realistic and zingy cardamom notes I’ve encountered so far, and so I was in love from first spray.
