On rare occasions, development of a serotonin syndrome or neuroleptic malignant syndrome-like events have been reported in association with treatment of fluoxetine, particularly when given in combination with other serotonergic (among others, L-tryptophan) and/or neuroleptic drugs (see section 4.5). As these syndromes may result in potentially life-threatening conditi Ventolin Respirator Solution must only be used by inhalation, to be breathed in through the mouth, and must not be injected or swallowed. The precise mechanism of action is not clearly established, but inhibition of the increased cyclic AMP synthesis caused by endogenous beta-adrenergic stimulation is probable. Timolol has not been found to significantly affect the permeability of the blood-aqueous barrier to plasma proteins. In rabbits, timolol was without effect on the regional ocular blood flow after chronic treatment. blepharitis, keratitis, blurred vision and choroidal detachment following filtration surgery (see section 4.4), decreased corneal sensitivity, dry eyes, corneal erosion, ptosis, diplopia. In patients with known predisposing risk factors for iritis/uveitis, latanoprost eye drops can be used with caution.

Suicide-related behaviours (suicide attempt and suicidal thoughts) and hostility (predominantly aggression, oppositional behaviour and anger) were more frequently observed in clinical trials among children and adolescents treated with antidepressants compared to those treated with placebo. Fluoxetine should only be used in children and adolescents aged 8 to 18 years for the treatment of moderate to severe major depressive episodes and it should not be used in other indications. If, based on clinical need, a decision to treat is nevertheless taken, the patient should be carefully monitored for the appearance of suicidal symptoms. In addition, only limited evidence is available concerning long-term effect on safety in children and adolescents, including effects on growth, sexual maturation and cognitive, emotional and behavioural developments (see section 5.3). Increasing use of bronchodilators, in particular short-acting inhaled β2-agonists, to relieve symptoms, indicates deterioration of asthma control. The patient should be instructed to seek medical advice if short-acting relief bronchodilator treatment becomes less effective, or more inhalations than usual are required. In this situation the patient should be assessed and consideration given to the need for increased anti-inflammatory therapy (e.g. higher doses of inhaled corticosteroid or a course of oral corticosteroid).Cases of corneal calcification have been reported very rarely in association with the use of phosphate containing eye drops in some patients with significantly damaged corneas. Adverse reactions are presented according to the MedDRA system organ classes and MedDRA frequency convention:

Milligrams (mg) are units of weight, while millilitres (ml) are liquid volume units. The word ‘Milli’ is derived from the Latin mille, which signifies a thousand. A gram has 1,000 milligrams, while a litre of the liquid has 1,000 millilitres. This solution is often used for epidural administration in combination with a suitable opioid for pain management. In total <500 mg/24 h. To do the reverse conversion, i.e., how many mg in ml, we rewrite the above equation in terms of mg: Patients with hypovolaemia due to any cause can develop sudden and severe hypotension during epidural anaesthesia. A milligram is one thousandth of a kilogram, while a milliliter is one thousandth of a liter. Take note of the additional thousandth on the weight unit. As a result, a milliliter must contain 1,000 milligrams, yielding the following formula for mg to ml conversion:

Lactic acidosis has been reported in association with high therapeutic doses of intravenous and nebulised short-acting beta-agonist therapy, mainly in patients being treated for an acute asthma exacerbation (see Section 4.8). Increase in lactate levels may lead to dyspnoea and compensatory hyperventilation, which could be misinterpreted as a sign of asthma treatment failure and lead to inappropriate intensification of short-acting beta-agonist treatment. It is therefore recommended that patients are monitored for the development of elevated serum lactate and consequent metabolic acidosis in this setting. The half-life of timolol in plasma is about 6 hours. Timolol is extensively metabolised in the liver.Serious systemic adverse reactions are rare, but may occur in connection with over-dosage (see section 4.9) or unintentional intravascular injection. Latanoprost has not been found to have any effect on male or female fertility in animal studies. In the embryotoxicity study in rats, no embryotoxicity was observed at intravenous doses (5, 50 and 250 micrograms/kg/day) of latanoprost. However, latanoprost induced embryolethal effects in rabbits at doses of 5 micrograms/kg/day and above. This is the volume of the solution, and the task asks how much water to add. Finally, you subtract V1 from V2 and get the water to be added.

Pivotal studies have demonstrated that latanoprost is effective as monotherapy. In addition, clinical trials investigating combination use have been performed. These include studies that show that latanoprost is effective in combination with beta-adrenergic antagonists (timolol). Short-term (1 or 2 weeks) studies suggest that the effect of latanoprost is additive in combination with adrenergic agonists (dipivalyl epinephrine), oral carbonic anhydrase inhibitors (acetazolamide) and at least partly additive with cholinergic agonists (pilocarpine). From the limited data available, there is no difference in the adverse event profile in children compared to adults. Generally, however, eyes in children show a stronger reaction for a given stimulus than the adult eye. Irritation may have an effect on treatment adherence in children. Benzalkonium chloride has been reported to cause eye irritation, symptoms of dry eyes and may affect the tear film and corneal surface. Should be used with caution in dry eye patients, and in patients where the cornea may be compromised. Patients should be monitored in case of prolonged use. There are no adequate data from the use of latanoprost in pregnant women. Studies in animals have shown reproductive toxicity (see section 5.3). The potential risk for humans is unknown. It should be kept in mind that in case of insufficient efficacy of the fixed combination, results from studies indicate that the use of unfixed administration of Timolol bid and latanoprost once a day might be still efficient.
