Fiind un aparat micut si destul de ergonomic, este usor de recomandat, in special pentru ca nu mananca mult curent din telefonul la care este conectat. The driving power is enough for pretty much any portable IEM, and even for some headphones, including Brainwavz Alara, which is impressive, to say the least.

We compiled a list of the best portable DAC/amp combos for mobile devices (iPhone and Android), so you don’t have to! Naturally, it will not resolve every single detail on recordings like other more expensive devices of similar size (much less full-sized components), but there’s enough there to bring out the music and make every listening session a pleasurable one. We listened to more songs than those named in this playlist, but those are excellent for identifying a sonic signature. I recommend trying most of the songs from this playlist, especially if you’re searching for new music! The playlists are different for Spotify, Tidal and Youtube, and based on the songs I enjoy and are available on each!Volume has to be cranked up to drive larger cans; 24-bit/96kHz ceiling resolution; no DSD compatibility. It’s affordable, compact and high-performance – only iOS-fanciers, with their convoluted method of attachment, will be less than all-around thrilled by the difference it can make to mobile listening pleasure. Some will be turned off by Chord’s quirky design language, the unintuitive menu system, and the relatively high price. If you’re looking for a high quality portable DAC, this iFi is well worth a place on the shortlist. The hip-dac’s combination of battery power, fine build and easy-going sound quality makes it one of the front-runners at this level.

Amir, I work as a designer with caraudio and pro-audio customers 12 years, and this industry uses another approach to measure Amps. New user here so apologies if this has been raised before. I cannot find anything useful after exhaustive searching, especially on Apple forums. The sound can be described as neutral, slightly bright, clear, clean, fun, well extended, detailed and slightly analytical.

At the end of this review, if you're looking for a clean, clear, powerful, crisp, dynamic and punchy DAC/AMP that has a good amount of speed to its bass, can drive most IEMs and even a good number of headphones, and which is pretty practical, you should totally consider the Cyrus Soundkey. Inexpensive; sweet-sounding audio signature, great for instrumental or vocal-based music; three types of connection cables included. The Cyrus soundKey jumps into the crowded market of probable headphone dongles with good looks, form factor and functionality a volume control would have been nice though). On the down side, distortion metrics are poor. Better efficiency compensates for that if you use it on battery operated phones and such (you would need the Apple camera dongle for iOS support). The GO blu is a do-it-all device, from wired DAC to Bluetooth receiver, it can even turn your wired headphones into a wireless headset. The latest Bluetooth codecs are supported, including SBC, AAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, LDAC, and LHDC. The physical design is clean and simple, with buttons on the side and a crisp OLED display on the front. An included case offers protection from scratches and fingerprints, as the shiny, larger body is prone to both. The Helm Audio BOLT offers fantastic build quality, MQA and THX certification, small size, high-power output, and clean, clear sound. What’s not to love? This is an interesting part in this review, because I wasn’t expecting the SoundKey to be anything special, but actually, it is a really good portable DAC/AMP. If you own a pair of Sennheiser HD 800, HD 800S or HD 820 and were looking for their perfect match, the HDV 820 is what you need. Granted, it’s expensive, but it’ll provide a wide soundstage reproduction, excellent tonality and incredible driving capabilities. It offers strident upper frequencies and more control at the lower end compared to the original Mojo and there are also fresh features, too. You can now make adjustments across the frequency range through 18 steps on its lower bass, mid-bass, low-treble and high-treble bands. There’s also a four-setting crossfeed that sets up the Mojo 2 for an even-wider soundstage.
