There is positive evidence of human fetal risk based on adverse reaction data from investigational or marketing experience or studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use in pregnant women despite potential risks.

Certain activities, such as gardening, can irritate the skin. It may help to apply an emollient before doing these. Lotions are good for hairy or damaged areas of skin (such as weeping eczema – where pus is seeping out of damaged areas of skin). This is because lotions are thin and spread easily, but they're not very moisturising. Sprays Emollients are often used to help manage dry, itchy or scaly skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and ichthyosis. Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use in pregnant women despite potential risks. The images belowshow how the skin often reacts over 4 weeks of treatment and how it may appear 3 months after the treatment has finished.Has a potential for abuse less than those in schedules 1 and 2. Has a currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States. Abuse may lead to moderate or low physical dependence or high psychological dependence. If you experience any of these symptoms, talk to a GP, nurse or pharmacist. Safety advice when using emollients Fire safety If you or your children need to use an emollient regularly, it's a good idea to keep some in small pots or tubes at home, school or work. How to use emollients How to use emollients on your skin

Emollients can be applied as often as you like to keep the skin well moisturised and in good condition. Ideally, this should be done at least 3 or 4 times a day. Some people get a burning or stinging feeling for a few minutes when they put beclometasone on their skin. This stops happening after you've been using it for a few days. Serious side effects

Calcipotriol/betamethasone dipropionate foam(and calcipotriol/betamethasone dipropionate foam key clinical evidence) Beclometasone cream is safe to use during pregnancy. Since it's applied to the skin, very little of the medicine gets into your bloodstream and almost none gets to your baby. Even if a small amount does get to your baby, it will not harm them. Talk to your doctor if you're worried. They will be able to explain the benefits and risks of your child using beclometasone. Serious allergic reaction

By the end of the first week, I was well on my way to having an eczema flare-up. My skin was less flakey but I had more noticeable sores, splits, and red patches on the palms of my hands. After a few days of using Cetraben, my skin did start to heal, but the change in temperature mixed with my ongoing use of hand sanitizer had clearly taken its toll on my hands. Although I upped my use of Cetraben around this time, it's not uncommon for me to have to call in the big guns and use Hydrocortisone if I cannot control the flare-up. I chose not to use Hydrocortisone this time so see if the Cetraben could help and after a few days of having quite sore hands, I did start to notice improvements. Occasionally the skin will become even redder and crustier than the images show. In such cases , if the skin becomes too uncomfortable Calcipotriol/betamethasone dipropionate ointment and gel(and calcipotriol/betamethasone dipropionate ointment and gel key clinical evidence) If you need to use a dressing, like a bandage or plaster, wait at least 10 minutes after putting on beclometasone. KEEP SKIN HYDRATED - Lanolin, light liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin have emollient moisturising properties to help keep skin hydrated and leave it soft, comfortable and relieved.

Using beclometasone for a long time can make your skin thinner or cause stretch marks. Stretch marks are likely to be permanent, but they usually fade over time. Tell your doctor if your skin gets worse or does not improve within 2 to 4 weeks (or 5 days for a child or when using it on your face). What if I use too much? Take care that your baby does not touch any areas of your body where you've used beclometasone. If you're using beclometasone on your breasts, wash off any cream or ointment from your breasts or nipples, then wash your hands before feeding your baby. They help prevent patches of inflammation and flare-ups of these conditions. Types of emollients LotionsSerious side effects are rare. You're more likely to have a serious side effect if you use beclometasone on a large area of skin for a long time. They can be used to replace lost moisture whenever your skin feels dry or tight. They're very safe and you cannot overuse them.
