That's right, once again, Kloves screws Ron while blowing Hermione way out of proportion, apparently unaware that he is ruining the balance between the trio and making it impossible to believe that Ron and Hermione have romantic feelings for each other. That was the most important piece of acting work that we did on Prisoner of Azkaban, because it was very clear that everything they put in those essays was going to be the pillars they were going to hold on to for the rest of the process.

After reading the series, he changed his mind and signed on to direct, as he had immediately connected to the story. With his best friends, Harry masters advanced magic, crosses the barriers of time and changes the course of more than one life. The supporting cast includes Emma Thompson, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Julie Walters, Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane, David Thewlis and Timothy Spall. Turning Pettigrew back into human form, the group head back to the castle, intending to both expose Pettigrew as the true criminal and exonerate Sirius, but the full moon causes Lupin to transform and Pettigrew escapes. Harry Potter, Prisoner of Azkaban - KNIGHT BUS - WALL STICKER advertising the DVD -------------- An extremely popular addition to the Harry Potter franchise, the Knight Bus was a triple - decker purple bus that picked up a stranded witch or wizard - this one can be seen to have picked up Harry Potter on the middle deck. For Prisoner of Azkaban, the landscape around the set changed from being completely flat to the side of a hill.

The romantic connection between Ron and Hermione is more prominent in the film than the book; in response to criticism of the first two films for sacrificing character development for mystery and adventure, the emotional development of all three lead characters is given more attention in the third film. The site's critical consensus reads, "Under the assured direction of Alfonso Cuarón, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban triumphantly strikes a delicate balance between technical wizardry and complex storytelling.

The casting of Gambon isn't universally loved by all Potter fans but I think his portrayal of Dumbledore is more energetic and lively than what Richard Harris was capable of in his later years. Sadly, it appears that none of the filmmakers involved here, not even Alfonso Cuaron, easily the best of them, really understand that, and they apparently have no idea of how to portray the relationship between Ron and Hermione; they just expect the audience to go along with it figuring that most of them have read the books, so they put little to no effort into making it believable. The point of this shot is that the car's headlights were flashing (as a result of having been hit in the back by the Knight Bus); after Tom's (magical) intervention, they stop. Han wasn't always gallant, but he was never stupid nor cowardly; he also had the guts and the quick thinking, which in the end is what drew Leia to him. This is where the Potter films really hit their stride and show the great potential of the future films.A small section of the Knight Bus scene, where it weaves in between traffic, was filmed in North London's Palmers Green. Ian McKellen was offered the role but he turned it down since he had recently played Gandolf in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and because he thought it would be inappropriate since Richard Harris had once referred to him as a "dreadful" actor.
