Teagan Hunter’s writing is great. She is terrific at world building and always has a great supporting cast as well as likable main characters. She injects humor and romance into the story as well as some steamy intimate scenes. It was also nice to see Zach and Delia from Let’s Get Textual show up and talk about their goats for a bit.

Please be serious for a second because tell me how he spent weeks coming to your donut shop every day to make it up to you for not recognizing you because he wants to be your friend. It’s a Sunday,” she says. “Repair shops are going to be closed. What are you going to do? Try to hang around some place until someone can come get you?”

I’ll take into serious consideration from now on that the girl who tried to run me over finds me annoying.”

The week after we lost, a few guys from the team—the ones still talking to me—got together at a local bar to drown our sorrows. After one too many drinks were slung around, a brawl ensued after I witnessed some asshole manhandling a woman. It’s not.” I’m just not entirely used to someone not knowing who I am. “My name is Collin. My friends call me Col.” I leave out my last name on purpose. Hollis and Lowell run into one another in a parking lot, she accidentally slaps/hits him, and then they start arguing. She’s there for her sister’s wedding and thinks he’s trespassing since he obviously doesn’t belong. Then her sister comes over and says they’re both in the wedding party and going to be walking down the aisle together! Hollis’ sister is Harper and his teammate is Collin (the couple of book 2). We stare at one another for several beats, not saying a peep. It’s calm out here, not much of a breeze. Nothing to fill the silence between us except her quiet breaths. Why, when I was dead on my feet, when all I wanted was to go home, did I drive to you? And then it hit me. It’s because whenever I think of home now, I think of you. I think of you in bed, waiting for me to come crawling into the sheets after a game. I think of you lazing around in those ridiculous pajamas with the sexy Michael Myers on them.” (Collin)Best secondary character award goes to Macie, i know for a fact she's going to be Greer's biggest supporter at the end. <3 But when I’m scrolling on a dating app and stumble across the pretty girl who almost ran me over, I know I can’t let her walk away this time.

The third act conflict felt like it was blown out of proportion and the resolution too was dragged out. Winding up the conflict and the resolution in a matter of maybe two chapters would have been the better way to go. There is also nothing new about the story that makes it stand out much. This was a great introduction to the series and Collin and Harper were some great characters. I love the text/message exchanges between Harper and Collin throughout the book and I loved the way their relationship developed throughout the story. There were some really comical moments mixed with some deeper/heavier moments that are always so well balanced in Teagan's work. She really didn’t seem like she recognized me at all, but maybe she’s just a really good actress? I have nothing to base that on. I don’t know her. Which makes me even more of an idiot for willingly getting into the car with her. Nice to meet you, Harper.” I take her hand in mine, noting how small it is compared to my giant paws. Her skin is soft too. “Thank you for not running me over.” Ryan is a very realistic, independant and confident girl. her attitude towards the whole marriage situation was admirable and shes hilarious

He wants to find love, and is jealous of all of his team mates for finding love and not even in a bad way, he just wants that for himself. The end of last season has been on perpetual repeat in my brain, and I’ve spent the entire drive thinking of all the things I could have done differently to not cost us the Stanley Cup. P.S. I can not wait for Smith and Emilia's book. We will have another hotness overload over the summer. I wait for whoever it is to make the first move. To roll down the window and ask if I’m okay. To get out and apologize. To do anything other than sit there. It’s too dark to see into the car completely, but I can feel them staring at me in the rearview mirror. I would love to have some changes in the general starting plot especially because the cheating ex boyfriend really doesn’t do anything for the plot. Let’s just let her be single and not hurt by an asshole before. Miller is a very Open guy and confessed pretty early on why he wants to take her on a date and how he’s starting to have feeling for her as more than a friend BUT SOMEHOW SCOUT STILL DECIDES TO FORGET HE EVER MENTIONED ANY OF THOSE THINGS From what we saw of Lowell in the previous books, he seemed like an intriguing character, so I was very excited about his book. Hollis and Lowell's story was so sweet, steamy, and funny, and I absolutely loved it. Their first encounter was so funny, and it immediately drew me into the story. I like the unexpected pregnancy trope, especially here because it was the main focus, and their relationship was built around it. Teagan Hunter never disappoints, and I think Carolina Comets is becoming my favorite series of her!!
