What I love about this activity is that it’s the perfect combination of crafting and science. Kids will love mixing the ingredients and layering colors to create their “craft”, but once they plop that bath bomb in the water it becomes an awesome science exploration activity. If using cookie cutters, be sure to spray or grease them with cooking oil first for easy removal, and place them securely on a cutting board.

cup citric acid (find at pharmacies, canning supply shops, or home brewery stores – or go online US/ UK)Eeek – who can resist these adorable little bunnies from A Pumpkin and a Princess?! They don’t have faces like the bunnies above, but in a little Easter grass, they’re stinking adorable. Brightly Colored Egg-Shaped Bath Bombs a spray bottle of witch hazel (you’ll only need a very small amount, so phone-a-friend if you don’t have any on hand) coloring, optional –for this set I used soap colorants, but you can use gel food coloring with success Mold the Easter egg bath bombs. Loosely fill both halves of an egg mold with the mixture, creating a heap higher than the mold. Then press both parts of the mold firmly together, which will compress the mixture into an egg shape. Swipe away any excess.

These were so fun to make. Did you know you can make bath bomb accents and ATTACH them to the bath fizzies? That’s exactly what we did with these adorable butterfly bath bomb minis. When you reach the color and consistency you want, press 2-3 Tablespoons of the mixture into each bunny in your Peeps mold. Let sit for at least 2 hours, or overnight, to dry. Then, carefully open the egg and remove the bath bomb. It may take a bit of work to dislodge the bath bombs from their shells. I loosened the sides with a butter knife and then twisted the eggs to get them out.Melt and scent the coconut oil. Put the coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl or jug and melt on low in 30-second bursts until liquid. Let cool to the touch, for about 3 to 5 minutes. Then stir in the essential or fragrance oil(s). Divide the mixture into a few bowls – the number depends on how many colors of peeps bath bombs you are making. My heart sort of leaped and I might have let a “Squeee!” escape when I saw these. Using body-safe paint and glitter, these are the perfect gift for the gold-loving Easter bunny in your life. Bonus fun fact: If you’re wondering why the recipe calls for cornstarch, it slows down the reaction so it takes several minutes instead of just a few seconds. If you want a more detailed explanation, this article discusses the molecular structure of the ingredients we’re using. What is the point of a bath bomb?

Let the bath bombs set for at least 3 hours or overnight. IF they are at all soft when you try to remove them from the mold, leave them in longer. Joining Bath Bomb Shapes Drizzle oil over mixture and add desired amount of essential oil (start with 5-10 drops and add more if needed). Mix until well combined. Bath bombs are, used to add oils, fragrance, bubbles or colour to your bath, allowing some bath time fun. What business makes the best bath bombs? Because I’m never satisfied doing the same thing twice, I tried to merge the eggs with the butterflies to add a little ‘something extra’ to a few of them. And you know what? It. Worked. Wonderfully!

Ann used the plastic Easter eggs to make these bath fizzies. They’re small and perfect for little ones. Note – they are half eggs, not the full egg like those above or below. Egg-Shaped Bath Bombs (Glitter Warning) First, I read some recipes that recommended putting the eggs in the freezer to solidify. I tried this, and it was a BAD idea. It worked perfectly for getting the eggs out of the molds, but as they thawed, they began to sweat and the condensation made a weird bubbly texture on the bath bombs (presumably the moisture was activating the chemical reaction just a tiny bit). They were still functional, but they were NOT pretty. Just leave them at room temperature. It worked much better.By the looks of things, there is a lot of food coloring in these but if you use soap colorant, you won’t turn the tub colors. ;) Adorable Bunny-Shaped Easter Bath Bombs with Faces In a mixing bowl (some sources suggest NOT using plastic), combine baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch and Epsom salt. Peeps treat silicon mold OR Peeps cookie cutter – though of course any shape is fine… but you can get a Peeps mold here and for UK readers a bunny mold here Made from all-natural ingredients , our products are perfect for people who are suffering from dry skin and eczema.
