The Loreo from what I can tell has a Seagull movement. Seagull makes popular movements for discounted watches. I have heard that they make a quarter of the automatic movements produced every year, but I cannot verify this.

There are a lot of Chinese luxury styled brands out there. Contrary to popular belief, not all Chinese brands are inherently bad or low quality. However, it can be hard to sift through which brands are quality brands, and which ones are junk. So we like to take a closer look at some of these obscure brands that pop up and seem to gain a bit of popularity with consumers. This watch is weightier than I would have thought. I like a heavier watch, and you know this one is on your wrist. If your wrist is over 7.5 or 8 inches I think this is definitely too small for you. The bracelet or strap on other models is only 20mm and tapers down toward the clasp.I’ve said this before, but one of the first places watchmakers look to cut money is in luminous paint applied to the markers and hands. This one happens to be an homage cross between a Rolex Daytona and a Yachtmaster in my opinion, but Loreo makes a ton of colors and styles of this model. They are all great value for money and all contain an automatic movement and sapphire crystal. There are tons of options to choose from. The entire bracelet is brushed, no polishing on any of the links. I think overall it looks very nice. I wouldn’t call this an oyster bracelet, but it’s not far off. Based on everything we’ve looked at here, I can safely say that Loreo is another good quality Chinese brand. For the most part they do have good looking watches at decently affordable prices. Some customers do have complaints about the appearance not matching the photos, but these are in the minority. Overall, I would say that Loreo watches are a good value.

That said, I wouldn’t hesitate to go scuba diving with any watch on this list. They are all more than suitable. I’m not sure how good the quality control is for these watches, I think there could be the possibility you get a lemon, but that was not my experience. The clasp is pressed, not machined, but it’s nice and easy to operate. Again, for the price this is a good solid clasp that is easy to operate. Dial Nothing can absolutely replace the Rolex Submariner, and in many ways the Rolex Submariner is the best of its kind when blending price, features, and quality. Also, Rolex has some of its own “alternatives” to the Submariner which arguably include the Rolex GMT-Master II, Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000, and the Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller. I won’t mention those below, but you should know about these more “deep-diving” watches that Rolex produces which are technically Submariner alternatives as well (even though they arguably look very similar). Rolex does it with their bezels because the inserts will get broken in the field. (plus the alignment issues). And they love to charge exorbitant amounts for their parts.

Conclusion: Are Loreo Watches Any Good?

This was one of the originals from a few years ago, after I used it for a few months I gave it to my wife, she likes a little bit larger watch, especially for diving. Since then she has beat the crap out of this watch. It still has paint on it from when we painted the bottom of our boat in Grenada.
