So today, I am tasting the Distiller’s Reserve of these whiskies, which are both younger, coloured whiskies bottled at precisely 43% ABV. Part of the Yamazaki family, Japan’s quintessential whisky, it is made in Japan’s first and oldest malt distillery which was founded in 1923. Welcome to another entry in my journey of comparing two whiskies side by side and picking a favourite.
