Will get noticed - might work well outdoors where the woodiness would blend in a little better (and some fresh air would dial down the room-filling sillage).

The scent opens up with a sweet, smokey vanilla praline/chestnut accord that lasts throughout the wear. I expected it to be more creamy, warm and smooth, but it is sweet in a harsh and dusty way - it is depressing.I have dry under-performing skin, but the "average" total performance--based on the ratings above--looks to be about 9 hours longevity and 2-3 hours solid projection. Absolute beast longevity wise too, good 8-10 hours out of this and the projection is perfect, not too loud, not a skin scent, just radiates around you in a little bubble. Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud is highlighted with a rich creamy sugar and vanilla blend, while well supported by a lightly-roasted chestnut-iness and a noticeably exceptional use of smoky wood(s)*, perfectly complimented by sweet clean oud, herbal spirits and hints of dark cacao within the composition, tying it all together for a VERY captivating experience! Definitely carries in the winter breeze, I can smell the fragrance flare up whenever I am hit with a cool breeze.

It smells really close to Kayali Vanilla, if the vanilla was in the forefront rather than the smokiness. I like to spray this on the back of my hands and the tops of my knees so I can smell wafts of it throughout the day. The first spray is awful, mostly smelling of alcohol (guessing this is a perfume that needs to mascerate for a bit) but regardless, it's simply not a dupe at all. Bought this on a whim after looking at the notes I was not sold however, my friend who also loves fragrances says it’s actually quite nice.Unless you want to compare their differences, which to me are only significant upon close inspection, you'd be good just owning Ameer Al Oudh Intense. This has a large projection and if you walk into a room wearing it people are going to start looking around wondering if someone is burning incense. I sprayed it on my hand and after about an hour, and washing my hands, the scent really smoothed out and a lot of the harsh incense smell went away and it took on a creamy smell. Through the entire scene a rogue wind steals the smoke from the fire and hits your nose with ash from last night's fire instead.

Smells like a Coca Cola type of Oud, slightly synthetic feeling and didn’t work out for me and turned unbearable on my skin. I have a full bottle of this and a decant of BTFP and sprayed on the back of each hand, if you put your nose up close, they are quite different but in the air quite similar. Less of an oud scent on me and more of a generic synthetic woody scent, probably heavy on the Iso e Super.The vanilla is pretty synthetic at start, smells like vanilin sugar, but it does get more creamy with time. A synthetic oud accord perhaps, but no oud 😉 I don't really smell anything too overtly oudy here, so if you hate that, you might not hate this. Privee Couture Collection Velvet Desert Oud Eau de Parfum smells like a breeze through the dunes of a desert.

So if you end up loving this juice, you may find this bottle will last you a while, as a little goes a long way.this is among the most dramatic fragrances I own , and despite the fact that most of fragrance community consider this is as a (By the fire place clown ) I think it has it's own character and there is a lot going on and is far from being linear. If BTFP smells like marshmallows on a bonfire, this smells like marshmallows coated in vanilla sugar cooked on a middle-eastern lighter. I thought that I would have to layer it with a vanilla perfume, but I think the vanilla in Ameer Al Oudh is strong enough on its own. I wish I smelled what most people do, I can see the parts of this fragrance that are enjoyable like the sweetness. My mom absolutely loves this - she's hella picky, has liked only one other scent like that in my entire collection over the years.
