They always say it is so hard to be a Jew, but how is it that so many want to become one?” Rabbi Eliahu Birnbaum

Historically the nation of Israel consisted of 12 tribes, however today the Jewish people primarily descend from the Kingdom of Judea, which only consisted of two-and-a-half tribes: Yehuda, Benjamin and Levi… while the rest of the tribes and the majority of Israel were displaced by the Assyrians and dispersed around the world prior to the Roman destruction of Jerusalem. This means if we found the descendants of the nine and a half tribes, we would be much more than the 15 million Jews we are today. This is not a myth. The question is where did they go?”

Abraham

Jerusalem, with the Temple Mount, the Old City of David, Hezekiah's Tunnel, etc., and surrounding areas, with the Jordan River nearby, once the land of the tribe of Benjamin. Isaac attempted to favor Esau anyway, even though he was displeased with him marrying two pagan women, but God had already chosen Jacob to be next in the line of patriarchs, and this is exactly what happened. Jacob To Benjamin, Jacob said that he would be victorious over his enemies, devour them like a wolf and divide the spoil. To Issachar, Jacob said that he was strong and resolute in his laboring, and he blessed his hard-working nature.

The Magazine spoke with Rochman during his latest trip to Africa, where he was filming episodes for his upcoming documentary We Were Never Lost. Speaking from the Ivory Coast, he discussed the content of the documentary: ARI GREENSPAN LIGHTS a ‘hanukkiah’ in the Ivory Coast. (credit: Courtesy Ari Greenspan) In the Old Testament time Israel was the only nation on earth under God, its constitution was God's Law and everyone lived according to God's Principles and Commandments. If someone from another nation had the desire to follow God, he could certainly to do so, God never prevented anyone from loving Him and following Him. Via Dolorosa, "the way of sorrows/suffering", the path where Jesus walked on His way to the crucifixion. It turns out that Benjamin joined the tribe of Judah, and combined to form the Southern Kingdom (1 Ki 21:12). The Southern Kingdom is ruled by the house of David, who was from the tribe of Judah, so the kingdom is often just called “Judah.”

Little is said of Gad, the man or the tribe. They, like Reuben, settled east of the Jordan. 9. Asher. The man Simeon (with his brother Levi) slaughtered the men of an entire city to avenge his sister ( Genesis 34:25–31). The tribe’s portion of land was within the midst of Judah’s territory ( Joshua 19:1); however, Simeon did not grow as rapidly as Judah and seems to have dispersed across multiple territories ( 1 Chronicles 4:38–43; 2 Chronicles 15:8–9). This is consistent with Jacob’s prophecy concerning Simeon and his brother Levi: “I will disperse them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.” 4. Levi. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing” ( Genesis 12:2). Also mentioned in Genesis 49 is Jesus as the lion. This is mentioned again in Revelation when Jesus is referred to as the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Judah: “This time I will praise the LORD” ( Genesis 29:35). Judah was a very redemptive character because although he did not want to kill Joseph, it was his idea to sell Joseph into slavery ( Genesis 37). Then, he was the brother who would not leave Benjamin ( Genesis 44). The tribe of Judah was significantly blessed by Jacob. He gave Judah the blessing of royalty because Jesus, the Savior would, come from the line of Judah ( Matthew 1:3). Judah’s territory was the southwest region.
