Sadly they use the same pad rings as the Pro 82. Many people because of this think the pads are non removable but it's just fairly tough to do. They have 4-5 plastic clips that hold it in place. So if you're looking to remove the pads be careful as you can accidentally rip the pads off the ring. Not a huge deal but super annoying. The worst that can happen is the plastic ring can snap, which while this won't ruin the headset it is annoying, my Pro 82 and shade both have one broken plastic ring each but still work fine. First up: the Audio Technica ATH-M40X. Build wise the Takstar Pro 82 has the upper hand when compared to the M40X. The Takstar Pro 82 is smoother and move very well with no squeaky sounds. On comfort, The Pro 82 easily win. Now on the sound quality, the M40X sounds accurate on the vocals than the Pro 82, and I would trust the M40X in mixing. The Pro 82. However, has more quirks, e.g. the bass switch that makes it more versatile in its sound but I would not recommend them for studio use over the Audio Technica ATH M40X. 2. Takstar Pro 82 vs. Creative Aurvana Live Similar to what happened with mids, the highs of the TAKSTAR PRO 82 loose all their excellent qualities on this mode. I have had to EQ, and I think I'm settling on this setup using APO EQ which seems to sound about 'right'. Bass ports are kept closed. I should also add that there sounds like more bass coming from my motherboard than from a Kindle Fire 2019 I have, so there is some effect of the amp/output impedance there. I am using PEQ (PK) as from my experience the definition is more consistent across different DSP/platform implementations than shelves.

With 2 bass ports open bass was obviously more elevated similar to headphones only diehard bassheads would enjoy. If you do opt for the MH752 though? Turns out Cooler Master has the same exact issue as HyperX—or maybe it’s a Takstar problem, I don’t know. In any case, the control box sits way too lowon the cable. The original 3.5mm cable hangs four feet below the headset, meaning the control box is constantly dangling around my knees or piled in my lap, rendering it inaccessible in stressful moments. It’d make more sense to have the box hang half as high, at shoulder level. Or really, it’d be best to have those controls built into the headset, though that’d undoubtedly mess with the sound, and cut into the benefits of rebranding an audiophile’s favorite budget headphones. Sound New NdFeB Drive supports high monitoring sensitivity, wide response range, and large dynamic range. The drive unit uses a high-quality PAR vibration diaphragm to effectively enhance the high-frequency extension capability and convey higher quality sound. The Takstar Pro 82 is a very comfortable headphone. Weighing at 237g without the cable, the headphone feels even lighter than its own weight. Overall the comfort of the 82 is an improvement from its predecessor the 80 Pro. Last summer, Takstar launched the Pro 82, the followup to their older design. The Pro 80 was heavily inspired by the Beyerdynamic DT770. But the new one throws all of that out

Boosted- My favourite. It helps to mask the highs alittle bit with added body. Midbass punches harder and sub-bass remains the same (to my ears) The headphone itself is solidly built; No creaking when you wear them. The earcups are made of both plastic and metal. The headband also features a steel band which offers good adjustment mechanisms for the headphone. The headband is plush and feels very comfy while the pleather covered earpads also provide better comfort levels. The earpads are well padded and do not require modding or pads replacement.

What we like:

PRO 82 monitor headphones are designed with a 3-level bass adjustment function on both sides of the headphone, the user can adjust the bass on each side according to the music style to listen to the best performance. Moving on from the, lets call it "reasonable", onboard output to a dedicated amplifier and DAC or combo* might bring in a little increase in outright fidelity, but it has been stated that the Pro82 v1 is not as resolving as the Pro82 v2 and there are more resolving options like the Beyer. another Topping D10 (separate software DSP EQ, no need for a switch) + JDS Labs Atom or equivalent amp. Focal Clear – Every bit of sound is clearer here over the Pro 82 (pun intended) but sound stage feels very intimate. One of these costs as much as approximately two dozen Pro 82 pairs. I love my Clear headphones, but if I bought a Pro 82 first would I have kept the Clear? Hmm…

Everything except the still-glued pads is a small step up, build-wise. Sometimes, the rubberized plastic of the forks will make a rubbing sound as it moves against the ear cups at the rotation point when I go to put the headset on, but I’ve easily accepted that over the last several days because I’m happy about these better materials. Treble could be an issue with electronic songs with V-shaped headphone. The Pro 82 does have a good and clean bass extension although it does not go low like TH900. It also doesn’t have those shrilling treble that fatigue your ears like TH900, HD800 or most Beyerdynamic headphones. The treble is there but never harsh that makes it works perfectly with EDM or electronic genre like Harbor by Kap Slap. The mic was tested on various sources but like all my headset testing, the Hel is my primary ADC for mics. It is crucial to understand that the red and blue lines in the Pro 82's FR must be ignored - they represent the "bass boost" feature.

Now, as someone who doesn’t listen at the highest volumes and loves the aggressiveness of the DT770, the highs here aren’t quite fatiguing . And they maintain a clarity that’s just south of outright sibilance. But boy, are they ever present! If you’re a loud-volume listener, I can almost guarantee these will bother you after about 30 minutes.

If you’re a basshead and you’re thinking you’ll get the Pro 82 and crank those ports open, well, I hope you enjoy your bass with some muddy mids Another feature that adds to their comfort and daily usage are the detachable, single-sided cable, the tilting and rotational cups and the fact that they lay fully flat. Keep in mind that english is not my main language and there are probably few typos here and there, i try to correct them later)With bass ports closed I could tell these were harsh for prolonged use within maybe an hour or two. With an EQ, their lower midrange and male vocals can get impeccably clear and highs offer some extra crispness while not getting harsh. The second headset seemed to sound more even on the sound than the first one…the first one always sounded a tad more V-shaped over the second one. Of course it didn’t help that in one of my repair jobs, I damaged one of the vents that happens to be hidden where the mounting holes were inside the cups later on. Oops.
