We walked into his room. In the middle of the room was a large camera. “This is the best camera in Darpur. This camera is very, very good,” the photographer said proudly.

This great and underrated masterpiece is a meditation on good and evil and especially about the way that people’s expectations and assumptions about us may wear us down and eventually force us into compliance with their view. But it is a much deeper and more biblical story than that and, like any great work of art, resists reduction. Berriault, who died in 1999, is known as a San Francisco writer. A wonderful sampling of her stories is available in Women in Their Beds: New & Selected Stories. George Saunders “The Love of a Good Woman” by Alice Munro (1998) Tomorrow?” I said. “Can I have an Identity Card today please ? I live in Minta. I live five hours’ journey from Darpur. I’m an old man.” This is a GREAT book! I can definitely say it changed my life and they way I look at money and finances. For example, my husband and I bought investment properties after I had him read it as well. It is very easy and interesting to read. READ IT! READ IT! READ IT! Then I did not talk again. I was very tired and it was late at night. I lay on my bed and I slept. Chapter four No photographs Where can I buy an Identity Card?” I asked the official. He did not speak to me. He did not answer.

You are next? Old man, I’m very busy,” the official said. “Look at my papers. Look at all these people. I am very busy. And you must wait,” Please do not hurry me, old man,” the photographer said. I am an artist. “And he gave me a mirror and a comb. I followed the tall man. We went into a large room with fine carpets and big chairs. Another man was in the room. He was drinking. I went out of the house. I walked along the road to the bus station. I opened the envelope and I took out my money. The school teacher said, “Yes, the official is correct. In a Post Office, you always show your Identity Card.” The school teacher filled in my application from for an Identity Card.

To me the most important thing it teaches is that being educated is the key.. educated in our motives, in money, in the world around us.. educated does not always mean a degree lessons can be learned anywhere at anytime..In 2011, a Turkish drama was also an adaptation of Rich Man, Poor Man with a different twist: in Kuzey Güney miniseries, starring Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, Buğra Gülsoy and Öykü Karayel, Kuzey was shown as the tough, wild and rebellious son (but inside he was noble and child hearten person) and Güney was shown as an responsible, calm and clean son of a hate-filled couple Sami and Handan Tekinoglu of Istanbul. The series began shortly after the death of Tom Jordache. His son Wesley ( Gregg Henry) is now in the care of Tom's brother Rudy ( Peter Strauss), who was seeking a seat in the United States Senate. Also living in the household was Billy, Rudy's stepson, and much of the ongoing storyline concentrated on the tension between the two ambitious boys. Also crucial to the plot was Rudy's protracted battle with Charles Estep ( Peter Haskell), the mysterious billionaire owner of Tricorp. Returning from the original series was Anthony Falconetti ( William Smith), who had served time for the murder of Tom Jordache and was now free and intent on disposing of Rudy as well. His novel Top of the Hill, about the Winter Olympics at Lake Placid in 1980, was made into a TV movie, starring Wayne Rogers, Adrienne Barbeau, and Sonny Bono.
