About this deal

I don’t get either of those from it— I think it smells like good salon shampoo and like a tropical cocktail on a nice summery day in the South. It was a guy magnet back in my college days and I know you don’t need a guy magnet factor to love a perfume but it doesn’t hurt when guys like what you wear especially if they have to smell it on you all day too. We all talk about wanting realistic scents but easily forget that in nature, scents are often pungent, raw, animalic.

Bottle is very pretty though, but I could not bear to keep this so I ended up using it as a bathroom freshener. I’ve never been a fan of more fresh and clean scents because I find them quite boring, but this is very calming. From a 45yo who is late to many parties (and surely enjoys them, look at my Fragrantica), this is the same scent of hair sprays of 30 year ago. I say 'spring', because I don't know how it would perform in true heat, as it was really mild today in the Pacific North and not truly summery.

She wears Dior Pure Poison normally but she takes a bottle of this with her on vacations because it’s not as valuable to travel with and it has that slight aquatic vibe.

After 5 hours- the vanilla, musk and woods have really taken over now, the fragrance has changed quite a bit in my opinion, it’s like “your skin but better”, it’s extremely soft, sillage has massively decreased since though, lingers hardly more than the skin. I remember the commercial coming out when I was young but did not start wearing it until recently when I finally got "into" perfumes.Just the faintest whisper of the early 2000's, which disappears before I even figure out if I'm actually smelling something. Would also do well in the heat as it is fresh and crisp from the greenish, slightly aquatic pear note. The pear is juicy and ripe and I can even smell the crisp outer epidermis that holds the luscious flesh intact.

It's neither too young/immature nor too adult; It's a perfume that I know I can come back to time after time. Britney Spears’ Curious is a lively, bright and effervescent fruity floral, aimed at twentysomethings with attitude. I think the title "Curious" describes it perfectly, because to me it felt like a fragrance that was built on curiosity and exploration of different components in the scent itself, but also in the packaging which was very different from everything that was around at the time.popular more current perfumes, such as Daisy, Alien, etc (none of which I find anywhere near as likeable as Curious - in fact, some are downright awful, like Alien! I was (am) a huge Britney fan, so after I used this bottle up I bought Fantasy and was on that kick for awhile. This is fairly unique for a mainstream perfume of its time - most others I remember were very sweet and/or overly fruity floral.
