It’s clear that the author knows a lot about hockey and is obsessed, which like, I get the obsession now. What follows next are more time jumps (sometimes one or two months, sometimes it’s the next year) and some “moments” thrown in there for laughs and giggles. Often with these stories you get a lot about rules,tactics,etc but I never felt that here-in fact I might have fallen in love with ice hockey a bit. Shane was charming in his own way, keeping up with Ilya’s banter and showing he wasn’t as shy as he seemed.

If you are someone (like me) who likes the sheets to get messed up early on in the book, then you won’t be disappointed. I can see why so many people prefer this book to the first book, but personally I don’t love it as much as Game Changer.I was hooked from the very beginning, actually vibrating with the tension and overall epicness of it all. The start of an epic enemies-to-lovers hockey romance from USA TODAY bestselling author Rachel Reid --book two in her fan-favorite Game Changers series. It starts with a simple rivals to lovers story but it quickly gives each character so much depth and background as they struggle to come to terms with who they are from age 18 on. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The only thing missing was an age difference which likely would've caused me to burst into a cloud of marshmallow floof, glitter and bubbles so.

The story starts in a series of events set months or event years apart, describing the various meetings between the main characters. However, if you like hockey romances, half-Asian guys with freckles, and tall, surly bisexual Russians, Heated Rivalry is SO worth your while. But they slowly opened up to each other about their pasts and what was hurting them, and I loved how they ran to be there for each other whenever they needed help. He felt the familiar slide of his rival’s tongue in his mouth, and slid his own tongue over teeth that had been fixed and replaced god knew how many times. It's a happy book, a wonderful roller-coaster of feelings, I cannot wait for the sequel 'The Long Game' to come out.
