Beechams max strength all in one capsules and hot drinks contain the painkiller paracetamol, a cough expectorant called guaifenesin and a decongestant called phenylephrine hydrochloride. MAOIs include the antidepressants phenelzine, tranylcypromine, isocarboxazid and moclobemide, and the anti-Parkinson's medicines selegiline, safinamide and rasagiline. This is because the combination of phenylephrine with these medicines could cause a dangerous increase in blood pressure (hypertensive crisis).Hypersensitivity reactions - including that cross-sensitivity may occur with other sympathomimetics. Adults, the elderly and children aged 16 years and over: For oral use. Swallow 2 capsules whole with water, do not chew, every four hours as required. Do not take more than 8 capsules (4 doses) in any 24 hour period.
