Whether you're looking for a specific series/season, or a complete box set collection, then we can do the hard work for you! Notable authors on the town during this period and who are acknowledged in these books as offering further information are Nathan Dylan Goodwin, Victoria Seymour and Mary Haskell Porter. Troops and Forces vehicles are on the move in vast quantities and the Allies have stepped up their bombing campaign over Germany and it would seem the end of the war is in sight. Wildly popular, universally acclaimed, this award-winning British mystery series stars Michael Kitchen as detective Christopher Foyle, a man of few words and rock-solid convictions.

Season 3 episodes are: 'The French Drop', 'Enemy Fire', 'They Fought in the Fields' and 'War of Nerves'. The series follows Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle (Michael Kitchen) attempting to catch criminals that are taking advantage of the confusion created by the Second Word War. ITV director of programmes Simon Shaps cancelled Foyle's War in 2007, but Peter Fincham (Shaps' replacement) revived the programme after good ratings for 2008's fifth series. In the UK, the first four series of Foyle's War were released as two two-disc DVDs per series, with two episodes each and episode titles instead of series numbers. In March 2007, UK and US distributor Acorn Media began re-releasing series 1–3 as four-disc DVDs for the UK (as they had in the US) and labelling them with series numbers. It is a detective drama that was commissioned by ITV after the long running Inspector Morse came to an end in 2000. Michael Kitchen is Detective Chief Superintendent Foyle, a hard-working policeman in Hastings during the Second World War. The first six series are set during the Second World War in Hastings, Sussex, England, and in series seven, Foyle works after retirement for MI5 on Cold War espionage. Set during the time from just before England entered WWII until shortly after the war ended, it seems to keep to an accurate time line of the war while following DCS Foyle through a variety of crimes, both war related and otherwise.

Although Foyle often comes up against high-ranking officials in the British military or intelligence services who would prefer that he mind his own business, he seeks justice tenaciously. As the stories of DCS Foyle progress through the War, in the final two series we find ourselves in a time of peace at last. There are some running plot strands, primarily involving the career of Foyle's son Andrew Foyle ( Julian Ovenden) – a fighter pilot in the Royal Air Force – or Foyle's relationships with minor characters. Africa - The series began broadcasting in 2009 on the pay service DStv (broadcast from South Africa) on the Universal Channel. That year, Honeysuckle Weeks was nominated for the 10th National Television Awards' Most Popular Newcomer award.

Foyle finds himself drawn into complex webs of security and counter security where the loyalties of even those closest to him are brought into question as he joins, somewhat unwillingly at first, the ranks of MI5.With this constant threat as a backdrop, plus having to deal with political interference and prioritisation of the military, Foyle quietly goes about doing what he does best: solving murders.

and so I can't praise this edition more, mainly for two basic reasons: One, finally we got to see these fantastic episodes WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES; and two, we did not have to suffer the many ad breaks as one has to do when you see them on TV, which really does spoil the flow, and therefore the enjoyment. But I already know the series and bought all of them because I truly appreciate the quality of these films and the stories, and how realistic they are.
