Finally (in an unsolicited plug), the high quality of the solo system makes me doubly excited about the impending release of Undaunted: Reinforcements from Osprey Games! Thoughts From Other Opinionated Gamers First, a disclaimer. I have written the review for both games and will be honest; there is no difference in the core mechanics section. As you’ll have noted above, Imperium is a game that has a lot to offer. With sixteen civilisations to choose from, each with their own unique approach to playing and winning the game, there is always a new puzzle to solve. This is all the more heightened by the fact that, even though you may have played the Romans once, there are still nuances to their design which you’ll want to explore. From there you’ll take one of three actions when you begin your turn. You can Activate first of all. This allows you to take your action tokens and play cards from your hand onto the table in front of you. Most cards will have an effect on them that either stays in play or is done immediately before they become discarded. OK, almost – there is literally ONE Region card that is a duplicate in resources and powers… but it has a different name & different art.

Hogy ezzel hogy álltok, azt játék közben maximum következtetni tudjátok, volt olyan parti, aminek a végéig biztos voltam benne, hogy nyerésre állok, és a játék végi pontszámításkor kiderült, hogy a játékostársam megelőzött néhány ponttal. A játék végi összegzést nagyon megkönnyíti egy scoring app nevű program, érdemes a telefonra letölteni! Magyar nyelvet nem lehet beállítani benne, de angolul is jól használható. A szóló mód 10/10 nekem, 2-3 játékossal 8/10 a hosszabb idő miatt, négyen nem próbáltuk még. Kiváló társas! Fame – a set of cards awarding great power and many Progress points – leading up to the King of Kings card However, in the Imperium Legends box, there are four nations that are truly very different. The Atlanteans start as an Empire, but have no Glory card. Instead, they develop Myths and Legends paid for by sinking regions. The Olmecs have a number of Stone Mask cards, which act almost like another currency. These are used to power the Olmec alternatives to more common cards in other nations. One of the things that caused me to put the Imperium boxes on my birthday list was the promise of a robust solo play system – and David Turczi (who is specifically credited on the cover of the solo play rulebook) delivered. There is also a place for exiled cards – and there are some civilizations and cards that get cards out of the exiled pile.
