Six years pass and Cal has never returned to Lake Wisteria (except for one time) where Lana lives and he used to visit his grandfather Brady Kane during the summer. As good old Brady would have it, Cal needs to sell the house that Brady left for him to be able to get his inheritance and help his brothers secure their portion of the Dreamland franchise that Brady created. Little dose Cal know that Brady was a sneaky man who had more puzzle pieces than Cal expects, and when he shows up to the lake house for the first time in years, he finds out that none other than Lana had actually inherited half of the lake house. Causing Cal how to find a way to convince Lana to sell the house. where do i even start with this book? cal is 100% my favourite brother and the complexity to cal and lana’s relationship is so passionate. with cals addiction and lana’s trust issues working against them they don’t let anything get in their way of being with eachother. The book also beautifully portrays life in a small town and the care and concern the residents have for one another. The bond between cami and cal was a treat to read. From being terrified of the possibility of a child to giving cami the best birthday by taking her to Dreamland they have come a long way. Source – Final Offer By Lauren Asher Several comments about this book. Firstly like all Asher's books, it is well written with a lot of detail and of course with much fun, humour and deathly romantic. I enjoy the Dreamland series and this one doesn't disappoint. Culturess: The Dreamland Billionaires series follows the three Kane brothers who are dealing with a challenge. While I won’t spoil Cal’s request in Final Offer, how did you come up with such a genius idea?

Culturess: Last but certainly not least, I have to ask if you have anything on the horizon. Any new series you’re working on that you can tease us with? the growing closeness between the three brothers toward the end of the book is a lovely way to wrap up the series. definitely one of my favourite books i’ve read!! Thank you to Little Brown Book Group UK and NetGalley for providing me with an e-arc of Final Offer by Lauren Asher in exchange for an honest review. Being the heir to his family’s media empire, Declan is the CEO of a major legacy, but his grandfather’s will stipulates that he must marry and have an heir of his own. His assistant Iris then volunteers for the job, and the position seems simple at first; get married and have a baby together. They’re not supposed to fall in love, that is until a passion between them both begins to grow, one that they desperately try to fight off. Will they both end up together finally, is Declan going to continue his family’s legacy, and just what are the terms and conditions?

Final Offer is a new adult romance featuring the forced proximity, second chance romance, enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, and single parent tropes. This is the third and final installment in Lauren Asher’s Dreamland Billionaires trilogy, so if you’re new to this series, you should start with book one, The Fine Print, to avoid spoilers. This would be perfect for fans of romance novels like Twisted Love by Ana Huang, Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score, Hook, Line, and Sinker by Tessa Bailey, Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, Lizzie Blake’s Best Mistake by Mazey Eddings, and In the Weeds by B.K. Borison. Some themes present in Final Offer include loneliness and isolation, growing up, family, wealth, desire to escape, love and heartbreak, death, mental health, and addiction, but be aware of the following trigger warnings for absentee parents, alcoholism and addiction, and death of a family member (prior to story).

Their story is also about forgiveness, trust and healing. It is full of angsty, but also beautiful moments. In general, the characters' pains, fears and feelings made them relatable, and their journeys and development were amazing and very well worked. Besides, I love how Cal made it clear that he wanted to get better not only for Lana and Cami, but for himself—for him to be the man he knows he can be, a man that deserves them. It showed how much he'd grown and it is the best development his character could've had!It has plenty of spice in it if that's your thing, for me I ended up skimming some of it as it was repetitive. But if this is your thing you won't be disappointed. This is everything I hoped it would be. Everything. I loved Cal in Terms and conditions but we never really got this side of him. He’s still funny but turns out his life is a mess and throughout the book you see a lot of character growth from him. Lana is incredibly strong, sometimes a little impulsive but that’s understandable. Also, I need to mention that Camila Theresa Castillo is, as previously stated, a star! Cami’s the cutest, funniest and smartest kid there is. I loved seeing her scenes, seeing her the way she talked to and manipulated people (lol, poor Cal, he honestly never stood a chance), and, most of all, I love her relationship with her mother and her relationship with Cal—the amount of girl dad energy he gave and the father-daughter energy they had from the beginning were insane. Unfortunately, the Final Offer fell short of my expectations. The reasons why I liked Cal in the previous books seemed to have been stripped away, and the book was too long. I almost gave up on it 20 times, but I persevered to provide this detailed review. Knowing the genre well, Asher has a lot of fun with it, giving the audience exactly what they were hoping for with it. That’s not to say there aren’t plenty of unique surprises of its own, too, as she gives it her own spin with her own voice. The two central characters themselves feel very distinct as well, with the audience rooting for them both the whole way.

Always looking out for exciting new ideas to help inspire her next novel, she’s always taking inspiration from the world around her. Visiting numerous different restaurants in her spare time, she’s got an active imagination when it comes to creating different novels. Still writing to this day, she’s got a busy schedule with more books and series planned for release in the near future.

As much as I love the grumpy sunshine trope going on with the first two books, I love the golden retriever energy that Cal has and his undying loyalty that he has. I love his determination to change for himself and becoming a person who would be deserving of a better life. Always having an imaginative streak, Lauren Asher would focus on her love of reading and writing from a very early age. This passion of hers would develop over time, allowing her to essentially become the full-time novelist she’d always wanted to become. Refining and honing her craft throughout the intervening years, she’d come to establish her own unique voice with its distinct style and tone.
