I think the fit of each link into the next is a bit loose, so it ends up feeling cheaper than it should. If you put the watch in a area that gets lots of indirect sunlight - a south facing window is best, leave it there until the battery indicator reads Hi. Translated by Google As expected, there is a sense of luxury that only the big brother of WAVE CEPTOR has!
I am asking this because the Oceanus S100 case and bracelet are made of titanium carbide, which in theory should provide more scratch resistance. Another positive is the finishing- each link is brushed but the edges of the 'mid' link (each link is all one piece made to look like 3 pieces) are polished, making the bracelet look higher end than it is. It looks classier, the floating indices and crosshair dial make it stand out a bit more in a sea of generic sports watches, and I figured with dimensions like those it would fit perfect on my 7" wrist. However I actually need the digital features, and I am so sick of batteries running out, dates needing changing etc, that the solar plus the atomic clock updates make these casios a fantastic option for me, especially still looking like a pretty classic watch from a distance. This one is for a relative as a gift, but I want one myself now, this gave me a chance to try it out.
I presume this is due to the fact that the orange one is a year or so older and its internal button cell is beginning to age. Despite the bulges, it doesn’t appear to be a homage of the Patek Nautilus or any other watch for that matter; if anything it looks like some form of mid-range modern Seiko. If you do it right you can even keep the tool in as you fit the next link in, so adding or removing a link takes a couple seconds max. My only complaint, and it is a small one, is that the band could be more adjustable, I wish there was a half link available. It's amazing just how many variations there are for models with the 5161 module from the face colour, negative / positve LCD, Arabic characters on some, to incredibly subtle differences in the design of the hands and indices. I wanted something more “dressy”, but needed it to be just as accurate as my pet hate is having to adjust a seldom worn watch every time I go to wear it.So I sent it back and began looking around for different solar/digital/analog/multi-function Casio watches. The case-back is held in place by 4 screws, which secure it to an advertised 5-bar water resistance level.
Some are also titanium and/or have an ana-digi display- the D models being steel and T models being titanium. While this does a good job of protecting the watch while in transit, I do wish they would update the dated faux-carbon looking design to something that doesn’t look straight out of the late 90s.
The OP speaks of the 'cheapness' of the bracelets and that's a real pity but these aren't particularly expensive watches and overall they're pretty decent, especially for the features and materials used.
