Description

French biscuit brand LU is bringing a flavour of France to the UK with the launch of four delicious biscuit varieties - to coincide with National Biscuit Day celebrations. Carefully crafted to offer biscuit lovers a quintessential taste of France with every bite, the treats use simple authentic ingredients to mirror the original creations. Le Petit Chocolat combines simplicity and charm by pairing the crunchy Petit Beurre biscuit with an indulgent layer of milk chocolate. This biscuit features the famous ‘Petit Ecolier’ (little schoolboy) figure, moulded into the chocolate and designed by celebrated French designer, Firmin Bouisset The Lu biscuit advert is a popular series of commercials featuring the character of “Mamie Lu”, a wise and witty grandmother who serves as the spokesperson for the biscuits. Mamie Lu is played by French actress and comedian Florence Foresti, who brings a lot of wit, charm, and humor to the commercials. With her strong French accent and humorous delivery, she has become a beloved face of the Lu biscuit brand. First came the Véritable Petit Beurre, the biscuit which started it all and inspired Le Petit Beurre. Its iconic oblong shape took inspiration from French tea mats used at the time. The additional design flourishes cleverly reflect the calendar year – 4 corner ears for the 4 seasons, 52 teeth for each week of the year and 24 indents for the 24 hours of each day. Le Petit Chocolat combines the biscuit with an “indulgent” layer of milk chocolate, while Le Petit Citron is billed as having a “delicate lemon flavour”.

It is a cover of the Italian song " Luglio", originally performed by Riccardo Del Turco. [1] The lyrics were adapted into French by Pierre Delanoë. Minimum life based on 'use-by' date of product. Where To Buy

Soon the others followed – Le Petit Chocolat combines simplicity and tastiness by pairing the crunchy Petit Beurre with an indulgent layer of milk chocolate. This biscuit features the famous ‘Petit Ecolier’ (little schoolboy) figure, moulded into the chocolate and designed by celebrated French designer, Firmin Bouisset.

The best way to translate it in English would be ‘afternoon tea’ but it’s not as formal. It’s very traditional, it’s very sacred and every single kid in France has a ‘gouter’. I still have a 'gouter' myself, maybe a biscuit or a coffee, if I have time. We’ve also done it with my children, since they were young,” Fred explains. Encapsulating the romance of the French, bakers Monsieur Lefèvre and Mademoiselle Utile put the first initials of their surnames together to create LU. This celebration of passion remains in every LU biscuit made since 1846, transporting consumers to a sun-dappled square in rural Provence. Made with “simple, authentic ingredients” and inspired by traditional French recipes, just one bite would “transport customers to a sun-dappled square in rural Provence”, said Lu. The LU Le Petit Chocolat Biscuit Design is sure to bring a smile to anyone's face. It is a fun and delicious way to add a touch of elegance and style to any occasion. It is sure to be a hit with both kids and adults alike. The delectable biscuits are available in four varieties, including Le Petit Chocolat, Le Petit Beurre, Le Petit Biscotte, and Le Petit Citron. The LU brand combines French love and passion – created by two pâtissiers who fell in love over their shared passion for baking and a desire to make the most delicious biscuits. The varieties were first produced in France during 1886.

The Lu biscuit advertisement is a timeless classic and has become a part of French culture. It is a reminder that effective advertising can bring products to life and make them memorable. The advertisement has been able to create an iconic advertisement with its combination of humor and nostalgia. Le Petit Beurre takes inspiration from the first LU biscuit ever made – the Véritable Petit Beurre – offering a signature taste, it’s a deliciously buttery biscuit with a hint of salt. Its iconic oblong shape took inspiration from French tea mats used at the time. The additional design flourishes carefully reflect the calendar year: 4 corner ears for the four seasons, 52 teeth for each week of the year and 24 indents for the 24 hours of each day Le Petit Citron brings a soft texture and delicate lemon flavour to the range and last but not least is Le Petit Biscotte. This biscuit pairs the subtle flavour of brown sugar and cinnamon with a rich crunchy texture. Paired with a hot chocolate, it’s a match made in heaven! The song "Luglio" was also covered by The Tremeloes as "I'm Gonna Try" and by Herman's Hermits as Something's Happening. Celebrated French biscuit brand, LU, can reveal that it is launching four delicious biscuit varieties in the UK.
