I know everyone loves Beat Saber, but Pistol Whip is probably my favourite Rhythm Action Game available on VR platforms. I love the feeling of power it gives you as you glide through these stylish, minimalistic locations, shooting at silhouetted enemies to the beat of the music. A good VR gun should be able to connect wirelessly to a VR headset. One of the biggest complaints about virtual reality is the need to tether your headset to a nearby computer (except for the Meta Quest). You don’t want to add another wire from your gun controller too, Rechargeable batteries

Wands is a game that’s not just fun for those of us who love fantasy and mystical hours but it’s also a great online game with a good community and because it supports cross-play with all the other platforms, it really opens up the ability to play with friends and family even from other VR devices. What I will say though, is that Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, the previous PSVR launch title from Supermassive Games, was so good, that it’s still one of the best games available on that headset, even to this day. That’s why I feel pretty confident in saying that this new horror-themed roller coaster-based shoot-em-up will be an excellent inclusion in your launch day library. But that terror is met with an equal amount of satisfaction if you can make it out with your loot. The walking dead saints and sinners is a noteworthy step forward for VR gaming, proving that a Deus ex like action RPG can feel right at home in a headset. Naturally, you'll want to keep your PSVR2 looking nice and clean as well as provide it with some protection too. And if you're planning to travel with it (even if only to a buddy's house), a hard shell carry case such as the HuiJuKeJi Hard Carrying Case is a sensible choice. And for parents of small children, it's pretty much essential if you want to preserve your PSVR2's looks as well as prevent the mashing of bananas onto its surface.You find yourself behind the counter with groceries coming towards you like in full crushing zombie mode. In this game you don’t reload your weapon in fact once you’re out of bullets you’re out, there’s an overhead conveyor delivering a mostly non-stop supply of guns. From Pistols, SMGs to shotguns and assault rifles to grenade launchers and dozens of the most iconic weapons in the world, all intricately modeled with complete interactivity. Unlike other rhythm-based VR games, Pistol Whip has no line in the sand; you have total opportunity to shoot, fight, and evade focuses on the rhythm YOU see fit. The Allied range also has a version of the action/displacement mode, as well its own take on zombie mode, featuring – you guessed it – Nazi zombie targets. Huzzah! Each once in for a short time, you’ll have the option to take shots at a powerup and get a better gun with limited ammunition. This game is very challenging. The ongoing interaction is direct and easygoing.

The inventory management is intuitive and feels excellent. Limited stamina is also a worry; it makes you slow and unable to swing or run away, meaning you need to land every blow with finesse. Opinion has been somewhat divided on Rebellion’s VR spin-off of its stealth-action series since it launched in mid-2021. But, for our money, the series’ B-movie sensibilities get a new lease on life here thanks to incredibly immersive sniping, sneaking that doesn’t turn into a broken mess, and great weapon handling. Plus the campaign will last you close to ten hours, which not many VR campaigns can beat. As such, it earns its spot in the list of best VR shooters and FPS games. AIXOTO makes my favorite realistic gun pistols for the Meta Quest 2. The spray paint is gunmetal colored and made from high quality ABS plastic. The design imitates a real life pistol. Resident Evil Village looks equal parts impressive and terrifying. Even from the trailer, you can feel the impressive sound design and the fine detail in the castle of Lady Dimitrescu. The best part: the VR experience is promised to be the entire single-player campaign. This PSVR 2 exclusive (for VR platforms) looks likely to be one of the best games for the headset. Resident Evil Village is available on launch day (Feb. 22) as a free update for the existing PS5 game. One of the best accessories for the original PSVR was the amazing Aim Controller, which utilised similar technology to the PS Move to place a real, physical rifle in your hands. While it didn’t get as much support as it arguably deserved, it was outstanding in first-party games like Farpoint and Firewall Zero Hour.Imagine what would happen if you took a half-season of the walking dead tv show mashed it together with Deus ex and drizzled it with the best aspects of a modern VR game and iconic post-apocalyptic terror what you might end up is the walking dead saints and sinners, and it absolutely nails it.

As the only PSVR 2 game so far to have been included in a PSVR 2 launch bundle, it’s pretty safe to say that Horizon Call of the Mountain has been created with the specific intentions of showcasing absolutely everything new that the PSVR 2 has to offer. And I should know, I’ve played the game myself! Again, Boneworks is one of those games that might rank a little lower in our more generalized best games lists, but when you specifically dial in on the depth and fun of its gunplay, it shoots up the list (pun intended) of the best VR shooters and FPS games. The campaign offers incredibly convincing shootouts with a distinct, Valve-esque tone and, though the melee physics are the real reason to play, it’s still got one of the most satisfying arsenals of firearms in all of VR. If you’ve been looking for an online multiplayer game that will allow you to feel like you’ve jumped into the world of harry potter then Wands may be just the game you’re looking for. Protection of the PSVR2's lenses is an important consideration too. These VR devices don't come cheap, and you'll want to keep those VR peepers primed for the long run. And for what is pretty much a bargain price, you can protect your PSVR2 lenses after use with something like the Hastraith Lens Protector Cover. Simple but functional, it's a small investment that does a great job of safeguarding your most expensive eyewear. But these difficulties were minor, really, compared with the fun I had buying, modding, and shooting the various weapons in the game. I will never have a chance to see most of these weapons in real life, let along shoot them, so this game provides a reasonable simulation. Gun Club VR Is Cooler Than You Might ThinkSUPERHOT VR is the conclusive VR First Person Action shooting game in which time moves just when you move. There are boundless conceivable outcomes and fantasies that anybody can attempt.

Resident Evil Village isn't the only Resident Evil game coming to the PSVR 2. Resident Evil 4 has been remade for the PS5. While the PSVR 2 version has still not launched, Capcom has stated that it will be distributed as "free DLC." We did see some footage recently at the PlayStation Showcase though, so hopefully, it's coming soon.

PlayStation Move

Zombie games are a dime a dozen these days, but VR is enough to give Arizona Sunshine a refreshing boost to make it worth your time. The game takes place in Arizona, as its name suggests, and in it, you’re tasked with surviving against a deadly horde of zombies while trying to make your way to safety. It’s a first-person shooter that requires the move controllers, so make sure you’ve got a pair before you jump in. Much like some of the great zombie games before it, Arizona Sunshine features different kinds of infected — some of which require more effort to take down than others.What’s cool about this game is that you can play the story mode solo or with a friend in co-op, which adds to the fun. Along with the campaign is a horde mode that requires you to defeat wave after wave of zombies. If you’re looking for something a little different, might we recommend this unique 1 vs 1 dueling experience? Blaston has a great concept: fire bullets at your opponent – lots of bullets. Projectiles move towards you at a sluggish space, giving you time to move, but you can play the game tactically to create a genuine bullet hell for your opponent. With extra modes and updates added since launch, Blaston is a breath of fresh air in the VR shooter scene.
