Certainly it should first be noted that this series is a "reboot" and not inherently placed in temporal or any other relationship to previous series. On the other hand, it is also often parodies what has come before. This has been done to some extent in the live action movies and the direct to video animated movies but in the present case, the basic world that the characters inhabit is more of an alternate reality. In the original series the chief fantastical element was that Scooby could talk; the present series supposes a town where monsters are big business and the kids get in trouble for SOLVING mysteries, for example. Structurally the show is more about action and character arcs with the mystery element largely on the second tier. In could be argued that the mysteries in Pup Named Scooby-Doo were a bit less obvious than some in S-D:MI (but the obviousness is also part of the parody, e.g., the gator episode). Two years later, the gang are reunited (against their wishes) as each is individually invited to Spooky Island, a "frightfully" popular theme park owned by Emile Mondavarious. Mondavarious tells the gang that students are mysteriously becoming mindless zombies and only utter pop phrases. Of course, Fred, Velma and Daphne do not agree to team up and so they go in different directions, despite Shaggy hoping it will be like old times.

Nibiru" spoke through the ghost of Fernando El Aguirre, leader of the conquistadors, as Mystery Incorporated left Mount Diabla. [1] Nova was put in the hospital, placed in a deep coma. During one of his visits, the monitor turned off showing that she died. Suddenly she awoke and warned Scooby-Doo, "Nibiru, Nibiru is coming." [6] At the time this episode aired, Sleepy Hollow did not exist geographically. The village of Sleepy Hollow, located in Westchester County, New York, was then known as North Tarrytown. The name was changed in 1996. The All-New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show, The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo, Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders, Bravo Dooby-Doo; former

At the time of the film's release, Scott Innes, who was the voice of Scrappy-Doo in this film, was also the voice of Scooby and Shaggy in the direct-to-video films and other miscellaneous appearances. A long running rumor stated that Tim Curry (a long time Scooby-Doo fan) was originally going to star as Emile Mondavarious. However, he turned down the role because he found out that Scrappy was in the movie and like many fans he hated Scrappy. However, this rumor is completely false. [6] One known sentient member of the planet was captured by its benevolent counterparts and imprisoned inside a crystal sarcophagus for crimes against humanity. Since then, for aeons, this being has plotted its escape, possessing animals and manipulating humans in attempts to free itself. According to the director's commentary, the line about Scrappy being corrupted by Daemon Ritus was added to assuage the concerns of parents who thought that Scrappy being the villain was confusing for children. From that same commentary, an alternate ending was filmed and test-screened where Old Man Smithers was revealed to be the villain. This explains his "I'll get you for this!" line at the beginning of the movie. It's unknown where the idea of adding Scrappy specifically came about, but Gunn believed the mythology dictated that his inclusion was a must, but turned him into a villain because he hated Scrappy, as he has gone one record multiple times. The first Mystery Incorporated eventually managed to find one of the disk's pieces before being disbanded; the current group have been working to gather and decipher the disc's pieces, discovering clues to keys from ancient Maya times along the way. More recently the word "Nibiru" has appeared in almost all of the incidents, being uttered by the deceased or even decoded from the Planispheric Disk. Beth was completely absent at the end of the episode after the gang had solved the mystery and recapped all that had happened, even though her voice was heard saying, "How did you know it was my cousin Elwood?"

Junior detectives-for-hire: Contrary to the above, when the gang was in their preadolescence, they worked out of a clubhouse, calling themselves the Scooby-Doo Detective Agency, and charged a minimal fee for their services in solving the mysteries in their hometown of Coolsville. ( APNSD) Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (first series) Main article(s): Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (first series) # In the British TV Show Primeval the character of Connor Temple mentioned that he had a crush on Buffy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, who was played by Sarah Michelle Gellar. He then concluded the sentence by saying that he stopped liking her because she started hanging out with "badly animated dogs". Shaggy also has an enormous appetite, being able to eat in tremendously large quantities at a time. There were originally intended to be more overt adult references that were cut out of the final film. These include: Velma ogling Daphne while she was bent over, Fred trying to seduce Daphne under the pretext of protecting her, and some explicit references to Shaggy & Scooby being stoners. These were removed from the final film, partly out of concern that the movie would garner a R rating with these scenes included. [1] Cleavage was even CGI'd away. A scene was filmed where Velma seductively serenades Fred and Daphne on top a piano while wearing a bra, embroidered with Rosie the Riveter, instead of her usual sweater. A cleaner version of this scene appears on the VHS. [2] The clues are explained as well, the missing keys, Elwood grabbed them out of habit when he left the car, and the picture was a passport photo for Elwood to fly out of the country. And another thing, Elwood was lying when he said he called the bank, because the butler said the phone lines were down. Shaggy found the biggest clue; on the other side of the clipping, it reads that APEX, Elwood's shoe company, had filed for bankruptcy, so he tried to steal the diamonds. The demons that take over the humans, aren't given a specific name, they're just generalized as "Creatures." Miner 49er, Skeleton Men, Zombie, Pterodactyl Ghost, Tar Monster, Captain Cutler, Evil Masked Figure In an interview with Daily Radar, Gunn confirmed that events similar to the first two seasons of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! and both seasons of The New Scooby-Doo Movies took place in the movie's alternate continuity. It was never explained if Fitzgibbon and his friend at the Coast Guard tower were involved. From their reactions, they must have been involved. However, according to editor Kent Beyda, Fitzgibbon and his friend were possessed by demons. The Scooby-Doo!/Dynomutt Hour: The Complete Series DVD set released by Warner Home Video on March 7, 2006.
